This is my first attempt at Master Yoda. The material I used was stoneware clay which still needs to be fired to a temperature of 2300 c before I have the finished result. I'll have a follow up to this video when he is sanded and fired. I will fire him in a traditional wood kiln. Looking forward to having the finished result in my collection. Link below please let me know what you think good or bad.

Not bad, maybe take some time to refine some shapes and smooth out the roughness? I like the "rough" aesthetic too though.

Yes You're correct needs smoothing. It's modeled from stoneware clay, not modeling clay. So it will be sanded, glazed and then fired to 2300 degrees. I fired in Traditional wood fired kilns. Hopefully when the weather warms up i'll get outside and get him fired and on my fireplace mantel. I'll have an update video on Youtube at some point with the finished product. I'm also going to try a 1/6 scale fully body Yoda and I want to get dark Vader done in the next few weeks. Forever fired in stone clay 400 years from now some guys going to dig him up and think Aliens must have visited Ancient humans.

I am loving seeing these, thank you again for sharing the processes. The Rancor is looking nice.

I'll merge this with your other thread so that we can see all your works in the one place. Let me know if would like the title of the thread changed. :)

    Thank You!

Maybe a "Star wars Sculptures" title would be more appropriate if it's not too much trouble. I have another Star wars character coming soon along with the finished works glazed and fired. Thanks for the support!

Teapot inspired by Dagobah I could picture Yoda drinking from this in his small tree/root house. Have a nice weekend!

Sorry, I know this was a typo, but my brain loves puns so I can't help it.

"Looks food so far"?? What kind of an animal are you that a rancor looks food? :p [face_laugh]

The sculptures do look pretty good, though.

Well, Sir Krayt, since your secret is out and we now know that you are a dragon, you may as well put one as your avi. :p

It's easy. Here's how. (This assumes that you are logged in to the JCF.)

    1. Find a post that you made and click on your username/avatar area. A box will pop up with a little more info, the same as when you click on anybody else's.
    2. Click on the avatar spot again. You will be taken to your profile page.
    3. (If the pic you want to use is already saved on your computer, skip to step 7.) Open a new tab in your browser and go to Google Images.
    4. Type in a search term that will give you the kind of pictures you want.
    5. When you find a pic you want to use, right click it and save it to your computer.
    6. Go back to the JCF.
    7. Click the avatar spot one more time. A box will come up that says "Avatar editor".
    8. Click "choose file". Another box will come up that shows your files.
    9. Choose the pic you found and click "okay". You will be taken back to the Avatar Editor.
    10. The avatar spot will now show the pic you chose. Click "okay". You're done.
