Hello,

After 2 sessions of "Word Whiz", I've thought of some potential tweaks to make things really interesting rule-wise going forward.

1. The person who is the matcher gains 4 points the first time through. The second cycle through the roster, he/she gains 5 points for matching any player.

2. For players who match the matcher, they will gain 2 points the first time through; the second time around, it becomes 3 points if they match.

3. Those players who match each other will gain 1 point the first cycle, 2 through the second time around.

In short, the second time through the roster, a point gain goes up by 1:

* 4 to 5 for the matcher

* 1 to 2 for non-matcher/matchee selections that coincide
* 2-3 for matcher/other player matches.



4. For any player who misses 2 rounds, they are dropped from the cycle of being the matcher. However, if they send in a phrase they can still match the current matcher. Or, once a PM is started with any player in the roster, if they want a PM in their personal conversation so they won't miss a round eespecially when it's their turn to be the matcher, I can definitely notify them in the PM, just in case the tag in the game thread isn't working correctly.

Yeah tagging when its their turn if they're missing would be a jump start

 

I've always been tagging the matcher in the game thread but as a back-up on request, I would also alert them in the conversation that it's their turn to be the matcher.
