SWC19 Celebration art show

Yeah, just saw the email. Shame and it definitely sucks for those abroad with the high costs, hopefully they can work out a situation to make things affordable. But I also can't be too upset as he is currently in the process of making...14 giant pieces in total including "There Is Another"?

Yeah, when I said I wanted the mural prints I meant as well as his normal print, not instead of.

14?!? They can't all be SW related, right?

 

I was counting each of the murals as their own piece (which they are in a way). So 9 episodes plus 2 spinoff films, 2 animated series and There Is Another.

 

Fair enough. I'm not sure they'll have IX featured but it would be really amazing if they did!
And 3 series now, don't forget Resistance!

 

Rereading the article it does look like EpIX will be on there! However, no Resistance, just Rebels and Clone Wars. I do wonder why that is.

 

The design at the time had CW so who knows

Thought it was fairly expensive until I double checked the length of 10.5" by 7.5 feet at $150 on the smallest option . Five options with the $500 most expensive at 2 feet by 18 feet

WOW!! I might seriously consider that! Sounds like it will definitely contain an IX section then!

 

My husband and I measured our walls to figure out which to get. The living room could hold the biggest size but we decided it would be cumbersome if we moved. We ended up going with the smaller print for our hallway. Easier to frame anyways

 

Is the mural availability exclusive to Celebration or do you think he will have it on his site for awhile?

 

He may have it on his site like usual but with this being Lucasfilm commissioned who knows

 

Remember all the artists will have at least 50 prints for sale on site, plus whatever they didn't sell in the pre-order period.

 

Did you happen to stop by his booth to see if it was there? I'm really interested, plan to go by tomorrow to see.

 

Did go to the booth, was told Lucasfilm changed their minds at the last minute and told them they couldn’t sell the print for 6 months! And my friend and I had already pre-ordered it. They said they would have to ship it when it’s time. It’s sad cause you can tell they got told last minute and have to scramble to figure out how to make it work and not lose clientele.

 

Wait really?! I was able to pick up mine yesterday. I got the mini one. Maybe I was lucky and they had already printed/brought them before Lucas changed their mind?

 

they gave us ours too but on Friday they told us they really weren’t supposed to. Maybe Lucasfilm changed their minds again

Sorta like how they weren't supposed to be showing the entire print, including Episode 9 on Thursday? I'm not mad though at them for doing either things heh

 

Guess I'll have to stalk their page!
