Thinking of pets over the years.
Cats: there were many, at least 7. Every possible personality you could imagine. I miss them all.
Dogs: 2 chocolate labs. They were twins. 1 Basset hound, although not mine, I still miss him.
Tweety the parakeet. Even survived getting his leg run over by the vacuum, as we used to let him fly around the house.
And many fish. Poor guys. The fish market is basically a guaranteed early death, imo. Seems rather needless and cruel.

Problem is, you love them and yet they all die anyway.
That's the way it goes.
Sad, but true.
It's the circle of life as the song says.
