@teamhansolo (and others) I've moved this discussion to the Music and fanfic discussion thread, because it is kinda a relevant question, though this discussion could have also gone in SWC.

No, I don't mean theme songs, What I mean is more like how, Rewrite the Stars, from The Greatest Showman, is Anakin and Padme, and iRobot, by Jon Bellion is Darth Vader. Maybe you'll get what I mean if you listen to the songs, they like describe the characters, :). Also, I think there is a music forum somewhere........

The two songs I think of most when I'm trying to write anything with Vader are True Colors by Cyndi Lauper, and Disturbed's cover of The Sound Of Silence by Simon & Garfunkle.

I was just thinking the other day, that the song Speechless by Naomi Scott really fits Padmé's character. What do you think about it?

I'd say Padmé is hardly speechless at all. She's determined to speak for her people, and as queen she is hardly kept out of important meetings and decisions. Nobody speaks over or for her.

I definitely agree, which is why I think the song fits her perfectly, :)

Just found this thread and it's right up my alley. I always listen to music whenever I'm doing something. I can't stand silence. And I have a variety of music to choose from. I like to tell people I listen to music from Amadeus to Zeppelin. What really is fitting is my love of jam bands. Grateful Dead being the granddaddy of them all. Then I listen to Phish, .moe, Widespread Panic, etc. Bands that have songs live that are 20, 30, even 50 minutes long! Not so many lyrics, though they don't bother me when I'm writing. But the long jams help me get into the groove of writing. Below is an example.

If you get confused just listen to the music play. ~ Grateful Dead, Franklin's Tower

Last music with lyrics that got me really inspired was Forever and Ever from Winnie the Pooh's Most Grand Adventure:

Led me to write a Gravity Falls (cause the tone and theme matched up really well) chapter about a time loop. It honestly became one of my favourite bits of writing that I've done (and one of my longest, time loops really help to pad out the length :p).

Not sure if this is what you're going for, but I find this song really inspiring :)

    ...
Also here are some Character playlists I made that better describe what I was originally talking about, further up in the thread, by songs that kid of "match" a certain character. :)

I usually listen to orchestral instrumental music like Two Steps from Hell. I also use a lot of Doctor Who music as I mainly write DW fan fiction. When I eventually write some Star Wars stuff I'll almost definitely listen to the SW soundtrack.

I'm currently listening to a lot of Hidden Citizens. They take traditional classical music (and other stuff) and make it a lot darker and more like epic movie soundtrack.

I was listening to music the other day, and I heard "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran, and my brain went, "That's a great Rexsoka song."
