Resource Show off your fanfic cover, or request one!

Hey everyone, I'm new to this community, but I thought I'd share this digital piece I've been working on.
It's a poster/cover for an OC fanfic I've been writing. No title for it yet, but maybe the story will see the light of day soon.

 

The dimensions are way off, but that's STELLAR.

 

This was a front cover I designed for what would have been my DDC entry last year, but sadly I never got around to writing much of it. Like so many pieces of writing it soon grew arms and legs and eventually too daunting. The story would have been from the perspective of "Temi" and his fellow slaves in the stables of Canto Bight and would have covered the events leading up to TLJ and after.

 

I saw it when it was first posted but now I also see only a “do not enter” symbol

 

I also see that symbol. Also, G. should come around more often, not just when he's inspired.

Haha @Ewok Poet you are too right. Trouble is inspiration hasen't been around much lately and just don't have much energy left for online socialising at the moment with work. Also suffering at the moment from having too many stories clustering around in my head and can't seem to get any of them down on paper.

@Togruta I love your artwork - great detail on Vader's costume!

 

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to work on (although finding a good quality image of "broom kid" wasn't easy a few days after the film came out - I had to go out and buy a copy of the visual dictionary) but unfortunately I ran out of steam for the story itself.

 

Ghost Luke: First, wash all ships. Then wax. Wax on...
Temi: Hey, why do I have to...?
Ghost Luke: Ah ah! Remember deal! No questions!
Temi: Yeah, but...
Ghost Luke: Hai! [makes circular gestures with each hand] Wax on, right hand. Wax off, left hand. Wax on, wax off. Breathe in through nose, out of mouth. Wax on, wax off. Don't forget to breathe, very important. [walks away, still making circular motions with hands] Wax on... wax off. Wax on... wax off.

Question: How do you create a url and/or paste an image on the boards? I’ve never managed to do that!

 

You first need to get a link to your photo or image. You can go to a free site like Imgur and download the image. It will give you a link for the photo.

Then go up to the tool bar you see above the reply box and click on that little image of a mountain with the sun. It will open a box and you paste the link you created of your image. Then click insert.

 

I never remember this, so have a permanent reminder somewhere.

Okay-dokey, in this sequence below, I am going to use normal brackets, like (), but you need to replace them with square brackets, [ and ] for the picture to work.

The picture that you are using, needs to be stored at your own image-hosting account, so as not to cause bandwidth issues (I don't understand it, I just know that it is a thing) for the picture's owners, if not yourself.

I actually didn't know about that mountain thing, so I learned something as well. Cheers!

I've tried for over ten years to finish this Fic, but it's been a real struggle, and will most likely never be completed. But, here is a copy of the cover I had for Counterbalance. A Before Saga/Prequels AU of what would have happened if Obi-Wan's mind wipe in Jedi Apprentice had been successful. He became a Bounty Hunter with Jango as a partner.

I-Audio was one of my very frequent internet handle changes.

Nother easy way to do this is to right click on the picture and click copy image. Then just press paste and it's there.
