Mod!Challenge Mods' Time Trials (Winners Announced & Masterlist of Prompts Posted!)

Welcome everyone! To celebrate the combining of the Fanfic Mods’ powers (more info here), we decided a brand new Mod!Challenge was in order. This Mod!Challenge is inclusive of Star Wars FF and NSWFF.

Now Presenting:
Mods’ Time Trials!​

How this challenge works:
Like your typical “pick a number, get a prompt” style challenge, participants will pick a number and PMed a prompt they must include in a fic. Only there’s two twists: you will get multiple prompts (all to be used for one story), and there’s a time limit! Time will start once you open the PM. There are three different “time tiers” you can sign up for, and each come with a specific number of prompts (24 hours and 3 prompts; 48 hours and 5 prompts; or 72 hours and 8 prompts) and your time will start once you open the PM.

There will be 4 winners as judged by the mods: 1 for each tier, and 1 winner for best fic past its due time (so if you miss your due time, keep writing! You might still win something!). All entries will close on November 10, 2019 at 11:59 PM.


Some other things:
If you don’t have time to commit now, no worries. You can sign up until November 5.

A mod will try to get your prompts within 24 hours, and we will make the subject line “Prompts for Mod’s Time Challenge - Opening this PM will start your clock”, so don’t open until you are ready.

Once you open your PM, send a reply so that the mods know you've started your time. PMs refresh their timestamp every time they're opened, so it's important that we establish an original start time to keep everything fair. Anyone caught trying to extend their writing time by failing to reply will be disqualified.

More spots in each tier can be added on request, but this may take a few days.

Finished one time trial and want another entry? Go ahead! Each user can take 1 spot in each different tier (for a max of 3 entered all together).

Can’t fit everything in? Post it anyways. Perhaps your other competitors will have the same luck. When judging, mods will take into account the story, the number of prompts used, and the quality of the use of the prompts.


What will the prompts be?
No worries, we aren’t too evil! There might be a quote or a common TV trope, but nothing that will require too much research. All prompts are fandom-neutral so if you want to hop on over to NSWFF, or are here from over there, go ahead and join!

What do we win?
Winners will receive 72 hours of colour for their username for tier 1, 5 days of colours for tier 2, and 1 week for tier 3. The "Past the Due Date" winner will receive 5 days of colour.

Just a comment. November seems like a long time from now. Why so long?

 

Mod challenge usually run for a couple months, we also wanted to make sure that if people want to wait for a quiet evening or weekend that they could - even if their lives are busy (and also, Mods' busy lives had to be worked around).

Ok, had a slow day at work, so was able to pound this one out. Not quite the story I wanted to do at first, that one will take more time to work out, and may still appear in a future story. But this one came together after a bit. Sort of a songfic, inspiration songs behind spoiler tags so they don't break up the flow of text quite as badly.

So, tech question. How do I insert the picture into the post? I can link it, but I want to put the actual picture in. I know there's that little "photo landscape" icon, but I just get a question mark in a box when I try to plug in the url.
