You’re in luck. Aquajawa was just announced as a new spinoff.

ETA: Through this nonsense, I’ve actually convinced myself that a jawa on a junk-ridden waterworld (like the one envisioned in TFA concept art as Rey’s possible starting point), who operates a huge floating junk barge, would be an incredibly cool idea. And when asked what he’s doing so far from Tatooine, and on a water planet no less, he could say: “I hate sand.”

The Mandalorian doesn't need a mentor. He is the mentor.

How about a new season of Entourage, where Kevin Costner is vying for the role of Aquajawa? Eventually he lands the role, and his pitch-shifted voice delivering the Jawaese dialogue is supplied as ADR for the small person acting out the physical role. Sort of like Nick Nolte as an Ugnaught, but even less obvious who the actor is.
Also, how about a Jacques Tati style film called Mon Jawa?

 

Studi actually would have been a pretty awesome older Clone, if Morrison didn't want to do it for whatever reason.

Yeah, different ethnicity and different accent, it wouldn't work, but pure features and grizzled-badass-wise. Wes is the man.

 

I kind of like the idea that Mandalorian's are played by people of Hispanic, Latino, Native American and African-American/Caribbean descent. Whilst those from Concord Dawn are played by people of Maori and Samoan descent.

 

Guess it's a fun thought, not really backed by the core-Mandos we've seen so far though, they're all over the place with look & accents.

Which is probably a better way to go.

But seeing as Jango/Boba/the clones aren't Mandos anyway, and they're all obviously "Jango", keep the clones Maoris with actors at this point I say. If you're going to recast down the line, get a Morrison lookalike from the same part of the world with some acting chops.

 

Who do you guys think should play Aquajawa?

This might be my favorite ship design of the Disney SW era, hands down. Just perfect.

 

Its ugly but I guess it works. Looks like two of Rey's jakku speeders for engines attached to a Y-Wing mixed with Magnaguard Rogue-class Starfigther.

 

That is a beautiful design. Love the colours, too.
