Note for UK folks - Disney XD has started showing season 2. Unfortunately it's at the ungodly hour of 7:30 AM on Saturday (with a couple of repeats during the week).

It's streaming, so why does the time matter? You can watch it whenever you like.

Full list of December episodes, with three new titles:

Sunday, December 1 - The Voxx Vortex 5000: With the Colossus running out of money, Hype risks everything by taking the Aces to race at Vranki's Casino, run by Vranki the Hutt.

Sunday, December 8 - Kaz's Curse: A pirate curses Kaz, causing him danger at every turn. Kaz is soon forced to seek Mika Grey for help, but Kaz's curse gets worse when the Guavian Death Gang appears.

Sunday, December 15 - Station to Station: Kaz and Neeku sneak onto a First Order refueling station in order to take an important piece of tech, but their plans go awry when they run into Tam and Gen. Hux.

Sunday, December 22 - The Missing Agent

    Sunday, December 29 - Breakout

No synopses available for the last two episodes at this moment. Honestly surprised they aren't taking a winter break for once.

Hm, I like they’re not doing a winter break! And basically means the finale would either be February 2nd if they show the last two episodes back to back, or February 9th if they just show an episode a week. I’d assume they want to finish Resistance before TCW comes back on D+, which is gonna launch in February.

They run into Hux?! Man, I wonder if Kaz will have PTSD flashbacks to watching that holofeed of Hux's speech before destroying the Hosnian System. I'll bet it's gonna be hard for Kaz not to attack him right then and there.

Reading those episode synopses, it makes me wonder if there is an overall direction for this show? Feels like we had some good story episodes in the beginning of this season to set up the environment, but now we're back to random adventures of Kaz and co. Only so we can have few good episodes again at the end of the season that will tie into ROTS.

At least we're visiting new places, but still, there's a galactic war going on! The FO blitzkrieg has started! I wish there would be episodes dealing with this. There must be billions of refugees in the galaxy, whole planets bombed to oblivion, complete chaos, breakdown of galactic government...

Meanwhile Kaz is solving pirate curses and visiting casinos...

Well the guys on the Colossus are trying to survive right now. I think the first half so far pretty much shows the ship isn’t ready for anything big and is needing constant repairs and supplies. I understand people want to see the bigger galaxy, but what I love about Resistance is the focus on the characters and their every day lives. They’re not already teaming up and being badasses with Leia and co. They gotta survive, and Captain Doza needs to look after everyone on the Colossus. Not to mention they have no idea where the Resistance is currently. But it’ll no doubt pick up pretty heavily soon in the First Order war department.

Just wish that I could get Disney Now to work. Seems like about one out of every 3 episodes will play for me. I suppose it is too much to hope that Disney Plus will get the new episodes when they air?

They're probably waiting until the season is finished before putting it on Disney+.

I’m surprised Kaz is on team don’t believe in Jedi/Force.

Kaz being born into the New Republic should have heard the tales of Luke Skywalker and his importance. Vader as well. It should be common sense that a common man can’t fight Vader/Emperor and live. Also was Luke’s Academy existing a huge secret with only a few in the New Republic (not counting Snoke) knew about?

This upcoming episode looks really promising.

And since Kel and Eila are back in this episode, should I say that Pit has finally made his way back to Skyworld?

I found that interesting as well. On the other hand, there are not many Jedi left and maybe they chose (like you mentioned) to keep their order more of a secret this time. The galaxy is huge and stories about the Force can easily turn into fairy tales for those who have never experienced it. Kaz also seems to have had a shielded upbringing, so if his dad and/or family were skeptical as well it may have rubbed off on him.

    ===

As for the trailer, it looks like an episode with potential.

In our world, there’s overwhelming evidence of climate change, the benefits of vaccination, the moon-ladings, Russian election interference, etc, and yet...lots of people just don’t believe it. My guess is that the Jedi were not commonly known to people, and that the many years of Imperial rule destroyed a lot of information about them. Not to mention, as we know from Bloodline, the New Republic was quite skeptical of force users, not least due to Vader’s reputation. The PT era was a long time ago by the time of the Resistance, and the already pretty secretive Jedi Order has been gone for about 50 years. And even during the OT, you had characters like Han Solo that didn’t believe in the force, or the abilities of Jedi. Seems to make sense that Kaz, half a century after the Jedi purge, wouldn’t really know much about the force or Jedi.

I'd call this a rare bit of doubling down on the ANH presentation of Force skepticism, which I think almost all of subsequent SW, especially from the Prequels on, doesn't really bear out as super-likely and kind of ignores. But it's there, and it's not impossible enough to consider a retcon or a literal "changed premise", and Kaz doesn't seem like a really culturally or spiritually inquisitive kind of guy, so it's basically okay... in fact it makes more sense in the ST timeframe than it did in ANH, as things have shaped up.
