So the next thing you have to worry about is grandkids. :p

Grandma Addie... that has a nice ring to it.

    I just turned 22 myself.
Though I would like kids someday, that is unlikely to be very soon.:p

Nope, been told by both my kids (the married one as well) there will be no kids as the planet isn't good enough for them. I have to be content with 'Grand Dogs' :p

    Yes, yes I am.

Wow, she was a little older than me when she had you! I'm 53.. ;)

More and more people are taking that approach or something similar: don’t want to have kids because of environmental sustainability or because the world is trash.

Eh. *shrugs* On one hand I am all for protecting the environment and providing easier paths for environmental sustainability.

But then the sun is just gonna explode in a couple billion years.

    Well played sun...

    Five thousand / a couple billion [face_dunno]

Meh, we are too enamored with the status quo and in many ways that is what is ruining the planet. I do not think humans will succeed in saving nor in truly destroying this planet. Then again, some have called me naive. I still would like to have kids, or at least raise a couple buggers that someone else doesn't want. To quote someone else, that is one thing I can never understand - not bringing another child into the world, ok. Not loving and caring for one already here? SITH to that! (alright that's a little bit of a misquote as they weren't on a Star Wars forum, but I felt it appropriate.)

Apologies for barging in here, but I was lurking as a Sith Assassin does.

Anyhow, if the Earths current age were compressed into one 24 hour cycle, human existence would only occupy the last second of that "geologic time" as it were.

The sun will burn out most of its hydrogen in approximately 4 or 5 billion years and then start burning helium at which point the Earth and the solar system will need to do some soul searching if they haven't already done so.

Human beings will most likely have made the Earth uninhabitable long before that happens, in about 200 years or so, I reckon, so no need to worry.
    Or is there? :p

    Naw, what?

    You're agreeing with me lol.

Died out or left means Earth is uninhabitable. ;)
