Hey gang. I decided to make a new thread for this to draw some attention to it. PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEE!

Anyway, as I said in the genderqueer thread, I'm going to cut my hair short. I've told my stylist of 30 years this and she's down. But she wants some examples.

I don't really know a lot about hair, but I would love to have your help on this journey. Any cool, short hairstyle examples? I have fine hair if that makes a difference.

What do you consider short? Mr Spock short, skinhead short, or something a bit longer?

Show the stylist this, and ask for whatever is the opposite of it.

Not pixie cut short, no. Something with a bit longer. Like I dunno, kinda wish I could pull this off (without the dye).

Yeah something like that could definitely work. For some reason I'm kind of interested in fluffing it up and adding volume though.

20 Popular Androgynous Haircuts <---a lot of possible styles here. This person seems to have fine straight hair:

Not pink, though, if your work wouldn't be cool with that.

My work is fine with colors, I just personally don't want to die my hair. I love my hair color, golden blonde. I don't wanna mess it up!

I'll look through that list, thanks.

    EDIT:
    Oh I kinda like this

I don't know about your haircut @solojones but get this expression on your face.

My hair is similar to the French Crop but not so long in the bangs.

The only thing I'm worried about with a pompodour style thing like that, even though I love it, is I am overweight and have a fat face. Not sure if it would still look as good on me as on skinny people...

See what your stylist says but I think the height can only bring dimension and flair to face shape.

Yeah see I was feeling that adding some volume and height to it would actually help, especially since it's so fine. I'm afraid if I get something flat against my face and head, it will look like I just have no hair because my hair is so fine.

A possible problem might be that the more stylish the hair look, the more often you'd have to go to the hairdresser to keep it that way [face_thinking][face_thinking][face_thinking]

It also depends on how high maintenance you want the style to be. Do you want to be able to wash and go in the mornings or do you want to have to blow dry to achieve the height of a pompadour?

Yeah, a pompadour is high maintenance, and you are not high maintenance.

That's definitely true. Right now I just comb, scrunch, and let my hair air dry. I am willing to use product and do some stuff to my hair to get it to work, though. Like ten minutes worth of stuff, not 30 minutes... hm...

No lie, I could see you with a relaxed mohawk... wouldn't be too high maintenance, either.

Oooh I do like that. How is a Mohawk easier to maintain/style? I know nothing about hair :p
