Yeah, but at least it's for maintenance...

I’m bummed about Rise of the Resistance but I’ll still be going. The one in Orlando was very fun and that was before any new Star Wars rides.

Thanks for the heads up @Padme501st

Bit gutted about Rise of the Resistance but still going to go. The atmosphere will be amazing, but rise being down means I'll probably just focus on the special event activities and (maybe) getting in a few other rides around the park without queues. Smugger's Run queue is likely to be pretty crazy now.

Last time we rode Star Tours like 12 times. The crowds should be just as manageable hopefully.

@ChrisLyne are you going to go another day as well to try ROTR?

No I don’t think we are. We just did Disney World as a family back in December and rode it on opening day there. I think we are going to go up to LA and sight see for our extra days in town. I really want to do the Warner Bro’s. Studio tour.

Edit: that was for Chris but still :p

    Yeah, I don't care what you're doing. :p

I'd love to do the WB tour, but I can't see it happening this trip.

Good point. Hyperspace Mountain in Paris was the same during their event. Guess I'm just expecting everyone will focus in Batuu and that's the one ride but I'm probably over thinking it.

Yeah, we're currently planning to have Monday as a rest day then do 3 days in the parks. Not bought tickets yet as I'm toying with no break and doing 4 park days for a more leisurely pace (and more chances at getting a boarding group for ROTR). Plus I want to see if they offer part day discount tickets for convention days and what the schedule is for evening entertainment like Fantasmic as I know they don't run the evening stuff every night once we reach September. Might end up doing 2 days, the SW Nite and some part days depending on that schedule even if it does reduce my chances at getting on ROTR.

    How about you?

You'd love it. The DC stuff was really cool when we went a few years ago. Plus I got to turn on the bat signal!!

Won't Smuggler's Run be fast pass available by then at Disneyland? not that I think fastpass is an option for the after dark event but for other days, that should help

Still trying to decide. I'm waiting to talk to @MotivateR5D4 for advice, but I'm leaning towards skipping this and going on Monday to have a chance for ROTR (my flight is like 10:30 pm on Monday). I'm not feeling that it makes sense to pay and go twice, but I'll post my final decision tonight.

@star_wars_is_good I feel the same way about not being sure about that nite event now that ROTR will not be available. I do really want to go though at some point and it is right there. I had already decided to pass on the droid and lightsaber workshops, and decided I would be happy with the two main rides.

I found out about it at 7:30 am EST. I'm not sure if it was on sale prior to that.

Yes, they've confirmed that all of Disneyland will be open. This doesn't mean every ride will be but I'd expect all of the major ones to be (barring ROTR which they've noted)

Sorry to hear that but I totally understand why.

Tickets for annual passholders sold out. Anyone know if that's common?

Guess I'm back to not getting the ReedPop emails [face_laugh]

Did anyone else get a "your order is being processed" rather than a final confirmation?

Yes, figure it is normal. Glad that it is the same price for GA as Annual ticket holders at $109

Still waiting for confirmation email. Some people are saying they already got their processing then confirmation emails with etickets so I am hoping to get one soon. My CC shows the pending charge and my Disneyland account shows the following:

Yeah, I'm still waiting as well. On the plus side I checked with my bank and they've confirmed the pending payment and said it's all ok their side (I was mostly nervous as they initially declined my flights as "unusual spending" but they've assured me that's not the case here).

I'm sure we'll both be good, especially if you're still waiting for confirmation but they've been added to your account. They probably just got a bit overwhelmed this morning.
