JCC "If the Earth wasn't flat, why does NASA only show CGI images of it?"

Many years ago, while traveling in Namibia I happened to meet one of these believers.

We took a few too many shots of the local alcohol of choice, and arm in arm took a gentle stumble back to the b&b we both happened to be staying in.

There, we kept up conversation, and then started sharing jokes, sitting in the nicely decorated living room. I told one, he told one, back and forth we went. And then he picked up the globe from the side table an said “this feels just like my parters ass”.

So I took it and jokingly said “Yes. Yes it does”

He gave me a stern look and walked out the room.

My joke was a little flat.

A US daredevil pilot has been killed during an attempted launch of a homemade rocket in the Californian desert.

"Mad" Mike Hughes, 64, crash-landed his steam-powered rocket shortly after take-off near Barstow on Saturday.

A video on social media shows a rocket being fired into the sky before plummeting to the ground nearby.

Hughes was well-known for his belief that the Earth was flat. He hoped to prove his theory by going to space.

 

I read this news this morning and just laughed. Darwin Award all right.

 

This is why Flat-Earthers tend to enrage me less than anti - vaxxers. At least when Flat - Earthers want to test their belief, they usually only take themselves out of the gene pool.
