So yeah, regarding the run time... looks like it is indeed confirmed to be 2 hours and 43 minutes, which makes it the longest Bond movie yet. And the 20 minute pre-credits scene is the longest of those yet, too.

end credits are probably 10 minutes, sometimes 15 so basically it's going to be 2 hrs 35ish. So that helps a bit. It Chapter 2 was freakin 2 hrs and 50 minutes

I just pre-orderd my tickets for the film - the running time does indeed to be confirmed as 163 MIN!

Nearly 3 hours of Bond? Seems excessive, especially given how dragged out its predecessor felt.

    Let's see how we go.

Was Spectre long? What a waste, I don't remember a thing from that movie other than Christoph Waltz just kinda smiling at Bond until the end where he's scowling at Bond. And the Mexico bit I guess.

I thought it was gonna be a short one , given the production problems - QoS had to be rushed 'cos of a writers strike and that one ended up as the shortest.

SPECTRE was a huge disappointment, not that my expectations were really high. But the personal history and rivalry reveal was just ridiculous to me. It would have been much better if Blofeld were older and had somehow masterminded Bond's career in the hope that he would ultimately join SPECTRE. Anyway, whatever. The Bond films have been running on fumes for a long time. Rebooting the whole thing was sort of goofy anyway.

It could also be seen as being responsible and waiting until more people can see the movie... maybe that's greedy because of the potential box office impact, but oh well. People should probably be more patient when issues affecting large numbers around the world are ongoing.

They might have to if more countries start restricting crowd-related events like cinema showings.

James Bond not as young as he used to be - definitely in the at risk age group.

Isn't this the last film with Daniel Craig as Bond anyway?

This may be what the publicity department are counting on: the Heath Ledger factor. Think how many more tickets it might sell if Craig croaks it! They're probably preparing the new posters now.

I haven't been looking forward to this film until recently. I'd just started to get pumped for the April release. And of course we have no idea if we're talking about a great Bond film, an okay Bond film, or a Spectre-level bad Bond film.

Just release it digitally, skip the theater completely.
