I always watch them in chronological order when I’m doing a Saga marathon.

If you start them early enough and are willing to stay up late enough. :p

I just started AOTC so by my calculation I should be finished with TROS by about 2 am. I love a challenge! :p

    Not sure.

It's ready to watch on iTunes.

Hmm. My iTunes library doesn’t have it either. I’m hazarding a guess that only the version without bonus content is out today

No, my understanding is it won’t be streaming there for a few months yet. Disney has to collect the money from the people who buy the digital and Blu-ray first...

I bought and rewatched last night.

Rise of Skywalker isn’t a perfect movie, lots of editing details and scenes that were cut really made me scratch my head.

But the movie is way better than I remember and just sort of encapsulates the fun, scrappy side of the saga that feels like a good companion piece/follow up to ROTJ, which had a lot of similar problems.

That’s my take. I know not everyone will agree. I just hope with everything going on right now and the entire entertainment realm on hiatus, people will stop viciously arguing about things like movies and focusing on the things that matter more.

    Stay safe, everyone!

Didn't realize it was released until this morning- checked my Amazon Prime (I preordered last month) and it wasn't there. I cancelled my preorder and just went ahead and ordered it. Only saw it once in theaters (and after reading tons of spoilers, etc.) so looking forward to seeing it "fresh" after 3 months.

Looking forward to watch all 3 together to see how they connect when watched in sequence.

Watching the PT or OT over a weekend is one of my favorite things to do. I can’t wait to do the same with the ST.

I watched The Force Awakens and then The Last Jedi before catching Thr Rise of Skywalker in my second theater viewing.

I really liked watching the sequel trilogy with all the information from TROS. It suggested new readings.

The lack of "in loving memory of Carrie Fisher" in the credits saddens me

You'd think that'd have been an easy fix for the home release

They had that at the end of TLJ, the first movie that came out after her death...

How'd it go? Are you the first person to watch all 9 in a mega trilogy of trilogies marathon?

So is it available for rental digitally or just purchase? (I would want to buy the blu ray which comes with a digital copy but would want to watch it ASAP)

I bought it on Friday from Amazon, with the extra material. I'm kinda surprised starwars.com didn't announce the early release. As far as I can tell, they still haven't announced it.

I'm so glad it came out early!

Same here. I bought it from Amazon on Saturday, and plan to get the Blu Ray when it comes out at the end of the month too!
I'm assuming that they slyly put it out there just in time for our new era of "social distancing."

I think they admitted it, actually. It’s a good business move and a good move for those of us stuck at home.

Still holding out for the DVD. Have 8 others plus Rogue One and Solo on DVD, and I'm OCD enough that I simply need the DVD of TROS.
