While you guys are at it, there was a fic from two years back or more where Anakin informs the council of his visions of Padme dying (PT era AU)? I lost track of that story, and I forget the title and author. I'd love to get back to reading that story and finish it, it was pretty good!

You're doing great! There is the search you mentioned, and there is also an archive that somehow is separate from these boards, which is what I tried to search. It's a long story, but the mods ought to explain the difference better than I can. Anyway, happy hunting.

 

The archive was always something that was completely separate from the boards, it was run and managed by the main site people (All of the boards are part of TFN, but run completely separately). So unfortunately I don't have any information on the archives.

I don't personally know many Boba Fett fics, but if you search in the story boards for Boba Fett, quite a few returns come in. You can find it HERE

Can anyone help me find a fic from probably 15+ years ago? Now that I'm thinking about it though, I doubt it followed the 'PG' rule of the boards so not sure if I can even ask here. But it was about Obi-Wan actually being the Chosen One and not Anakin, though Obi-Wan does train Anakin. Qui-Gon lives after Naboo. I quite vividly remember an intense scene with Anakin and other younglings being trapped in a collapsing building.

 

Nvm, found it, it was a Cyn fic, i just didn’t recognize the description. ☺️

 

Could you share what is a Cyn fic?

 

@pronker: I think she is referring to the work of CYNICAL21, known informally as Cyn, who was a popular Obi-Wan writer back in the day. It's been a long time since she was around here: If I recall correctly, she posted one last story around the time I came to the boards in 2005, and then left for good.

 

Thanks for clarifying - I'm certain I have read stories of CYNICAL21 here, most likely in the departed TFN archive. AO3 appears to have some of her stories.

Hello! This is my first post here so apologies if I'm doing this wrong, but does anyone know a fic (on this site or others) that tries to adapt/craft a story around the cancelled Bounty Hunter TCW arc? The Boba Fett and Cad Bane duel

It's such a great and important story and I just can't keep waiting to see if it even gets made into a book! I feel like it'll be retconned even moreso soon enough.

Any sort of fic about it with the duel and all would be great!

 

I'm looking for a Dooku/Padme fic that was written way back around RotS release, maybe a little afterward.

Anyway synopsis is thus: Set between Ep1 & 2 and kinda goes into Ep3 near the end, AU: Count Dooku has left the Jedi Order to enter politics and becomes the Senator of Serenno. He meets Naboo's newest Senator, Padme Amidala, and they work together to try and fix the corruption in the Republic. Along the way they become close friends and even lovers before Dooku becomes too disheartened by the lack of success against the corruption. He leaves to form the Separatist movement which creates a difficult wedge between him and Padme. It ends with Padme on the Invincible Hand and Dooku sacrificing himself to protect her from Sidious (his death scene in RotS pretty much), knowing Sidious wasn't going to be happy with him helping her escape.

I remember reading it on ff.net and I cannot find it. It was really popular, had over 100+ reviews, and over 20+ chapters. Well written and makes the Dooku/Padme pairing believable without alienating the Anakin/Padme pairing.

 

Is it Eclipse by Jurious on ffn?

 

No. I thought it was too but Eclipse is set during Ep2. The fic I’m looking for is between 1 & 2 and mostly set on Coruscant and in the Senate.

Also I think it’s the fic that started the Yan Dooku name.

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help find a story.
It starts at the end of TPM, Qui-Gon survives but Obi-Wan is severely injured. His back is so badly injured he can't walk. He is sent to a specialist centre to recover while Qui-Gon trains Anakin. As Obi-Wan recovers, he completes studies and asks that Dooku be sent to help get him in shape.

I read it a long time ago but can't seem to find it now.

 

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find a complete copy of Conduit by Obi-fan (or if someone has saved a copy themselves)? It was originally posted here: https://boards.theforce.net/threads...now-complete-3-updates-12-31-and-1-1.1262569/ but as you can see the original posts have been truncated so it's practically unreadable. I have yet to find a complete version posted that is still up, and unfortunately the wayback machine has not helped. (Also, sorry if I'm not doing this right, first post here haha)
