Social Whatcha doing during quarantine??

I've spent most of the quarantine reading - all of the Star Wars literature I have to hand, otherwise botany textbooks (my other hobby is botany). About halfway through a very old but very interesting book, G.W. West's Treatise on the British Freshwater Algae ed. F.E. Fritsch.

CoVid-19 is a dreadful thing. I lost my father and twin sister separately - not connected - just before this epidemic broke, but we did have funerals and meetings of far-flung family and old friends - I will always remember my father's ''purvey'' (our lowland Scots for a funeral tea) the providing tea-shop will remain nameless, a comedy of errors, completely incompetent - too many seats, too few, the wrong sort of sandwiches, then none at all! - but oddly comforting. We could not help starting to laugh.

It will be just as dreadful, and worse, now that even that last comfort is limited.

On a lighter note I have been practically living on dried miso soup for two weeks and feel I have had about as much umami as I can well take!

This has become a no haircut period for me. I was getting so good at having my hair cut at Supercuts. I'm like a dog protesting their grooming appointment.

I've been doing my hair for years with clippers. I usually don't botch it but if I do - hair grows..

The costume looks great, but what sells it is the way you walk, or I should say swagger. That is so right for a musketeer.

 

That'd be pretty dull; my armor and my pirate costumes are in storage right now. I suppose I could do flight suit, if I had a video camera, which I don't.

 

Used the opportunity to watch all the SWs movies and shows with my kids. 3 of them are old enough to appreciate it, but my 1 year old loves the music lol. Other than that, just gaming. I wanted to start writing fan fic about about Leia, with a little Bail action too, so I was told to come to this site since google wasn't cutting it. Wanted to see what fan fic and EU was out there pertaining to Leia between RotS and A New Hope, so I didn't step on any toes or write something already done.

 

i mean isn't everyone rewatching what's there for them? Been rewatching star wars movies and then on soap2day watching little women and trolls world tour

 

Last year, If someone had told me that I’d have months off work and the world would grind to a halt, I would have said that I’d use the time for study and self-improvement.

Instead, I have watched Tiger King. Clearly, Carole Baskin is to blame for my indolence.
