Discussion Timothée Chalamet (Paul Atreides) in Dune

He's easily beating Kyle. For one, he's appropriately young. I understand they wouldn't cast a 15 years old so Chalamet is the closest to that age they could find and he looks like a teen. he's also a terrific actor. For everyone who isn't sold on his pulling off an epic leader, watch Netflix' The King.

 

I dunno, despite being about the same age when taking on the role I don't think that Chalamet is quite as green as Kale was when he starred in the 80's version.

Lookin forward to seeing him as Paul.

 

I got to see him a couple of months ago in Little Women and he was very impressive.

 

Is “The King” any good? I know it didn’t get great reviews, but some seem to love it. And I’m trying to whittle down my list of things to watch.

It's OK, in my opinion. Takes itself a bit too seriously (with the exception of Robert Patterson's performance which adds a bit of much-needed camp to an otherwise very dour film) and ultimately seems a bit confused about what it's trying to say.

Maybe worth a watch if you're bored but certainly not a must-see.

 

i like him a lot in that movie. I got to watch him in Lady Bird but i didn't really focus on him

As we always say to our clientele in my line of work (psychiatric facilities with symptomatic individuals): I understand that is real to you, but want you to consider it is a symptom of your condition.

 

I've never seen this actor in anything before, but I sure think he looks the part.
