    Terminator 2:Judgment Day

    Peak Arnie
Let’s be honest, peak Edward Furlong
    Guns n Roses soundtrack
Most quotable movie line of the decade - and it was bloody Spanish!
T1000 melty CGI (ok, it hasn’t aged well, but at the time **** me gently back in the 90’s it was the ****).

    Independence Day

The greatest President in the greatest American film in the greatest American decade.

Honorable mentions: Titanic (just how amazing Jim Cameron can make things work when he goes absolutely insane), The Phantom Menace (advanced CGI by leaps and bounds at the expense of story and coherence).

    First of all.
I'm not a film buff by any stretch of the imagination but we all know Peak Edward Furlong was American History X.

    Also.

The 90s are kinda weird. It suffers a bit from what I call Leftover Eighties, where it feels like you get the 80s action movie scripts nobody wanted to make, like Demolition Man, The Specialist, Cliffhanger, Assassins, Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot, ie basically everything Stallone did. Arnold similarly started declining with Last Action Hero. Chick flicks carried on as if the 80s never stopped, with Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks, and then Sandra Bullock carrying on the tradition.

I kinda feel like the decade didn't really start to assert itself until around 1996 or so, indeed with Independence Day. Yeah, there was Jurassic Park, but that stands apart.

I think the most 90s film of the 90s came during it's last year; The Matrix. I thought it was the culmination of everything the 90s was building to as it was getting away from the 80s.

To anyone posting the movie they like: look at the clothes in that picture. Now you're in the Nineties.

    Batman Forever.

The whole cast peaked during that decade, overrated director of the decade, bad 90s CGI attempts, the whole soundtrack, etc...

You mean to say Purple Rain was the most 80s film of the 80s? I might agree

You mean the distinctly leftover 80s clothes in that picture? Those aren't 90s clothes at all. The sweater is basically Cosby and the pants are 80s gym bro attire. No one was still dressing like that by the time 1998 came around. I'm pretty sure the whole point is that the character is completely out of touch.

Clueless had 90s fashion down. You were either chic or you dressed like a farmer, ie in clothes that were entirely too baggy.

Well, to me the 90s is about alternative music, so I would say Singles. Runner up would be Reality Bites.

    That literally @a star war
was the first answer that came into my head. I also cannot believe it also 25 years ago. I can close my eyes and literally feel like I am sitting in the movie theater all again watching it just crushing on Alicia Silverstone even more then I already was.

I think @CT-867-5309 1994 was when the nineties started to get their own vibe and a lot of the late 80's look and feel was very gone.

As evidenced by Speed being a film from 1994.
