And the real trouble isn't even the recruiting violations, he actively ignored warnings about a DE being a sexual assailant...who then promptly showed up to campus and got jailed for sexual assault. Disgusting.

Just gonna miss the schadenfreude of his scowl on the sideline while getting his ass kicked. Good riddance indeed.

 

Those are some solid recommendations.

I hope it convinces Michigan to keep him around for a very long time.

Lost in all the shuffle is more and more colleges are not only planning on reopening in a few months, not only will they have college football on the menu but also plan on having fans in the stands:

I am generally becoming terrified of what the fall will look like.

 

Alabama had 5 players test positive the first week back. Given that individual schools/conferences will be making decisions on return-to-play (vs. the league having a labor agreement in the NFL), and many of the not-powerhouse schools operate college football at a loss, I don't think we're gonna see anything close to a normal season.

I'd add "...if at all" but I know how much this country loves its football and I'm fairly certain its coming back somehow.

 

You can UCF, Oklahoma State, Auburn, Marshall and Iowa State as schools that had COVID-19 positive cases in the first round of testing as student athletes come back most of which were asymptomatic. In a way you wonder if them being on campus and back as part of the athletic department is more safer. Perhaps they would never would gotten tested until they started seeing symptoms therefore would inadvertently passed the virus around. More and more educators and doctors are starting to believe what I thought as well. Perhaps it's better to have schools back open again assuming students can be tested moderated and tested regularly.


And there is no doubt college football is coming back in the fall. Just what it looks like remains to be seen. My guess is the college football factories press on like any other year complete with semi filled stadiums while other schools struggle to play.
