Gaming Horizon Series: Zero Dawn (PS4) and Forbidden West (PS4/5)

What's especially great about the DLC is the new weapons available. I also like the new skills like dismount strike.

Horizon Forbidden West trailer!

 

Now people can finally stop calling it HZD2 which it never was going to be.

 

I do see stories saying "Horizon Zero Dawn sequel" and not "sequel to the Horizon story". I think the issue is they didn't put a colon after Horizon so everyone assumes, myself included, that HZD is the full name. Unfortunately, I do not see that changing and the masses will continue to loop in the subtitle with the main title.

 

From what ive seen no one is doing it though. Its always HZD2: FW

 

A careful read of the logo suggests it is:
Horizon II: Forbidden West

 

That's a good point. If they made it just a tad smaller you'd need a microscope.
Meanwhile there's been a few wallpaper images of the new game being made available.

How come? I could swear I see thread titles in this community forum changed all the time.

 

this game totally passed me by until I saw the PS5 trailer, then I watched an IGN review for the 1st game, looks really cool, and I just saw on Playstation store Canada the complete version is 30 bucks but I just see on Best Buy Canada the complete edition on disc is literally 10 bucks so yah, instead of dropping 90 bucks on Last of Us II I think i will get this super cheap.

I'm not sure the Hogwarts game is an exclusive.

 

See I'm an early adopter with all technologies. I want the best thing first off.

 

H:FW was the game I wanted most on the PS5, getting a new console early is rare for me, normally I'm year 3 or 4 but I want H:FW on the best console available as I loved the first one

 

getting the PS4 version because Miles and Horizon were ps5 sellers (and ultra HD disc player) but now they're on PS4 so yay. I think I'm near the end of the main campaign and did a whole lot of side quests on the way. still have Frozen Wilds to go and some machine hunting though. Fun fact: the last piece of lore I discovered and scanned with my focus in the game was write up about ... the Forbidden West! Cool to find it as an easter egg, sequel tease in the first game.

 

I missed the forbidden west easter egg but then I've not gone for all the lore.

Frozen Wilds is a good expansion too, with Forbidden West, I can see why we didn't get another expansion on PS4 but I certainly wish they'd done one.

I mean, was it really an easter egg? The whole end of the game made it very clear Aloy would be heading West...

 

I'll take your word for it, I haven't hit the end of the game yet. Although that datapoint does tell a hell of a lot about what is waiting out there.
