Hello, Bonjour & Hallo, greetings from Germany!
I'm in general not familiar with forums. It would be very nice to get some advice where and how I can post about my STAR WARS fan edits which I started to create in 1998 with "STAR WARS (1977) - BDFC", a very extended motion picture version based on an English widescreen VHS, which will be finished this summer, with a running time of ca. 3h. Then I'm finishing also my latest "THE PHANTOM MENACE - BDFC" (when the "Phantom Edit" was making it's round I already had my own thing - so I'm a fan edit fossil). There is a "ATTACK OF THE CLONES - BDFC", but it needs rework, and some strings of REVENGE and EMPIRE are done in order to do somewhere in future a complete fan edit.
So, this is the thing about I would like to post here. My edits are not available for download in the internet nor for exchange, but there are trailers etc., I have an own "codex" how I want to behave as a fan editor (because of copyright, because to show fans it is only a fan edit, to give the original director a chance to know it etc. - this is also a reason why I use my real name).
I do my "own" STAR WARS, also changing facts established in the originals (e.g. I ignore facts established in ROGUE ONE, but use material from it - or in my edits, Luke & Leia are neither twins nor siblings - what is not relevant for my EPISODE 4 version).
You see, there is a lot of stuff and discussion potential, but also it's difficult for me to get the right places in your huge forum and to let discussion be rational if no one has seen my version. My last "open" screening for fans was in a very little fan circle in 2008 showing the then versions of my fan edit. In 2021 I plan the same starting in Germany with my updated versions.
So, if you think it is possible to post something useful about "BDFC" in your forum, please let me know.
To give you an idea of what I'm talking, I have here a 15 minutes video of my 70 minutes panel at the NORIS FORCE CON in Germany, 2018 (I did the recordings while running the panel, so the quality is only for fans and I did German and English subtitles):
