No one outside of the hardcore SW fandom has a clue who she is. Maybe put her in as a supporting character in another film as others have mentioned.

In my eyes, that would be a big chance to present here to the main "audience". She isn't an "old" character to the casual fan, so there is a lot to discover for them. Include flashbacks to certain Clone Wars key moments for the main audience, so that they can get to know her. Her personality created by Filoni makes her in my eyes very fitting for a future main character.

I think Ahsoka is a deep and powerful enough a character to have her own film/series. I know right now she's only really known to hardcore fans-but IMO she could be one character that crosses the bridge from fan-favorite to mainstream popular, if given the platform. Then there'd be lots of backstory that new Ahsoka fans could be made privy to, driving further attention to TCW and Rebels, and perhaps Mandalorian.

Thrawn would be another one that would work this way as well, IMO.

It will be interesting to see how she's developed in The Mandalorian. One of the challenges for Ahsoka working in live action is (IMHO) she's a much more interesting character as a young padawan in TCWC than she was as the mature Jedi in Rebels (IMHO), where she basically just takes the function of the Obi-Wan/mentor type character. So ultimately it's down to how she's written. It won't be enough for her just to turn up, give some Jedi wisdom and do some fighting... she'll need a proper story to centre her.

The only film she will get unfortunately is a porn parody.

Why? She can play a minor but meaningful (and hopefully very cool) role in the Mandalorian, and then have a deeper story developed for her in another show.

These are just the types of characters they should be pulling out to make movies. They should be learning from the MCU and pulling characters from comics, books, and animation that the general public doesn't really know and giving them more of a big screen story for the general public. The general public get a story about a "new" character, while the fanatics get to a have a hat tip for one of their favorite characters in Star Wars that hadn't made it to the big screen and general public.

The only questions would be has her story been told to thoroughly where there isn't much to tell anymore because it is pretty fleshed out until she goes to find Ezra...but the Mandalorian is set after that, so it makes sense to bring that story to the forefront. They even mentioned bringing a character from the D+ series to Movie, maybe when we thought they were talking about Mando..perhaps they had another character in mind.

I actually liked her more in the final season of Clones and on into Rebels. She grew from a cartoon character directed towards kids to something more complex and interesting. That final TCW episode and her duel with Vader in Rebels where my two favorite moments in both series. I’d really look forward to seeing an older jaded version. Just hopefully not involving Ezra.

Why what? Why it would be a challenge? As I mentioned, as an older character, her function changed in Rebels to what it was in TCWC. As she stands, she’s basically just another Obi-Wan mentor type character, and there’s already going to be an Obi-Wan show. So I think it will be a challenge for the writers to do anything meaningful with her in her own dedicated show/movie. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but I imagine there will be a lot of thematic/narrative crossover with the Obi-Wan show that may make it somewhat obsolete. Personally, I think they’d be better off making her a supporting character in the Obi-Wan series. I actually think Lucasfilm’s biggest opportunity would have been an Obi-Wan live action film, where Ahsoka could have been a main character, and have Maul/Vader as the villains etc. That could have been a ‘big’ film... but that’s just my view...

I don’t disagree with that Bob... but as mentioned above, in Rebels, Ahsoka’s function is more in the vein of Obi-Wan... even down to confronting Vader. I think she had a more unique role in TCWC, primarily because of her being a padawan in training and her young age... she was basically what we never got to see with a young Anakin... and I think it will be a bit more difficult for writers to give her meaningful function, in a live action role, that doesn’t crossover with whatever there’re doing with Obi-Wan.

As the characters in The Mandalorian don't seem to have a clue about the Force and the Jedi I'm guessing that Tano has been brought in to educate them. It would seem more logical for Tano to actually take the Child either back to his family or to Luke. Perhaps that could be the basis for a spin-off series?

Disney might. Someone there, unfortunately, will have the ‘bright’ idea. Should they? No.

I agree. I REALLY hope her part in Mandalorian isn't reduced to yet another world-weary, "I'm too old for this $%!&" kind of depressed wanderer type. We've had enough of those already! perhaps even some who shouldn't have been like that *cough*Luke*cough*... I'm hoping to see a strong Ahsoka, who has had an active history against the backdrop of the war against the Empire, with a sense of hope or at least purpose. I also hope her role isn't just in one (or maybe two) episode, like some of the other hyped characters in season one, that ultimately had what amounts to a glorified cameo.

I think depending on the time period they decide to do an Ashoka film it could work and be interesting. A lot of you have said that only hardcore star wars fans know who she is even. But I don't think that's true, I have several friends who are not that big into Star Wars and have asked me if I know any more about Ashoka showing up in Mandalorian. She draws interest from the more casual fan. Also despite how many feel about her, she is still not a character we know near as much about.

Ahsoka film would tank at the Box Office. Highly doubt she gets her own films.

I want to see Ahsoka as a Gandalf type, which is already established visually at the close of Rebels. Meddling in the affairs of the galaxy a bit, but mostly behind the scenes through inspiring, encouraging and occasionally gently (or ungently) nudging others into the important fights of the day. And kicking butt from time to time, but very sparingly.

She absolutely deserves a movie. Since there is so little info on her it would be easy to fill a two+hr movie with details and action. Being a sentinel type force user. A great way to introduce grey Jedi into films. ...I named a chorkie after her.

With Ahsoka Tano coming out of season 7of clone wars her popularity has hit the sky. And She'll be introduced into live action in mando season 2 and soon after her own show, plus she'll be doing cameo in bad batch and maybe be a main in the rebels sequel. So she is spread all over.

nah by the point the ST was being made we didn't know she was going to survive rebels with time travel portals. It's also why she is only a voice to Rey in TROS because they don't want to spoil her end or if she still lives. Dave Filoni is the one who wants to tell her story. If Dave Filoni was involed in live action back then as he is know, then maybe.

Yup but that would have needed a plan.

Fortunately Filoni seems to have one that ties all of his work together.

I would really like for something not animated with Ahsoka Tano. I heard there will be something like that in 'The Mandalorian' series. I think Ahsoka as a hired bodyguard and completing odd jobs like that would be cool. She can hide who she is and her real powers but can help those that are good and punish people who are bad. I would think she can modify her lightsaber so that it is concealed from detection. She can carry many different weapons and gear.

If she got her own series, for episodes I think of:
    1. Bodyguarding a young immature Prince.
    2. Guarding a priceless piece of artwork.
    3. Returning to her home planet and dealing with war and racism her people are suffering.
    4. Seeking revenge against those that kill her fellow security guard on a job.
    5. Getting arrested or captured and having to escape.
    6. Finding and protecting a Force Tree and finding it a home.
    7. Enlisting in the military to help an Alien people defend their planet from invasion.
    8. Bodyguarding pompous interspecies Alien celebrities and their kids while they vacation on a luxury planet.
    9. Transporting prisoner on death row who may not be guilty and helping that prisoner prove their innocence.
    10. Finding a force sensitive nihilistic child to become Tano's apprentice and also accepting his kind hardworking sister.

Ahsoka Tano's gear in own Star Wars series would be:
    1. Lightsaber with concealing parts and handle.
    2. Small scouting hover droid.
    3. Electronic PC wristband.
    4. Glass eyepiece, ear plug, and mic.
    5. Backpack containing rope, cuffs, lockpicking tools, and grenades.
    6. New custom ship to Star Wars universe with variety of weapons and storage.
    7. Modified side blaster.
    8. Uzi styled blaster gun.
    9. 50 caliber styled blaster gun.
    10. Sniper rifle styled blaster gun.

Do you think like Gandalf she'll "Go back to the West"....when her task is done. Because I don't think she's dying ...I think like Gandalf she's gonna have that Go to the west moment...And I think "The West" is Mortis.

Perhaps. Though the equivalent of that may be something like Obi-wan consciously entering force ghost land.

    Fair enough.

I just think Mortis may play a role only because they keep having tiny connections like that Bird thing from Mortis that the Daughter turns into.

    But fair.

I could definitely see Ashoka end up on Mortis after some kind of sacrificial "death".
