The well-known Flemish comic. There are over thirty books. Anybody familiar with it?

I'm not collecting Tits personally, but I know people who do. Tits books are still sold on second hand markets.

The character was first called Pats but the publisher thought Tits was a catchier name.

It's a series by Flemish author Willy Vandersteen, also known from his long-running series Suske en Wiske.

Tits: local Antwerp name for a boater straw hat fashionable in the old days.

Funnily enough, the town of Luton in England is known for its history of making straw boaters (the football club is nicknamed The Hatters) and its there that I came across some TITS in a charity shop. They looked great but I didn't pay for them.

Only one of those I haven't seen in my garden is the Bearded Tit. I don't think they are found in my area.

I wouldn't know what to do with a Bearded Tit if ever I encountered one.

The tufted tit is also known as a titmouse.

It's totally not a mouse though.

    It's not a boob either...but there is a bird called a booby...but it's not the titmouse.

    lol boobs.

They're rare - found only in reedbeds.

The other two common British ones are the Marsh and Willow Tits, which are difficult to distinguish. The Crested Tit is present but rare - only in the Caledonian Forest.

I sometimes get the long-tailed tits at my feeders - they are seriously cute. They look like a feathered lollipop.

Nor in mine - I saw it at Minsmere RSPB.

A Brown Booby, which is a very rare visitor to Britain, was seen at Lizard Point in Cornwall last September. So we drove down (5 hour trip), hoping to see it, but it didn't show up. My first proper long distance unsuccessful twitch. :p

I know a drag performer (not actually a stripper, although sometimes his outfits are pretty revealing) whose stage name is “Thrustin Bieber.” He actually once had Tits, but went through a considerable ordeal to get rid of them.

That’s the funny thing about Tits. You either really want them or you really don’t.

Fully expected this to be a thread about birding. Was not disappointed. Ornithology win.
