    I kept an eye on the news most of the day, in the hope that by some miracle, Naya might still be alive, so obviously it's pretty disheartening to listen to today's press conference and hear that, a day later, we still cannot confirm that she has, indeed, passed away.

    It would be very tragic under any circumstances, not just because she's just 33 and leaving behind a 4-year-old son, but also because of what a big impact she had on us as one of he first prominent queer people of color in a prominent TV show, at a time when we were still fighting for marriage equality.

    If confirmed, Naya's death will be a huge loss not just to her friends and family but also to all of us who admired what she did with the role of Santana, how much potential she demonstrated, and how mwuch e looked forward to more amazing performances from her.

    Maybe a little introspection is in order for people who think, "I should face multiple risks to my life in order to fruitlessly search for the body of a celebrity I knew only through television."

    In Lawrence Wright's "Going Clear" (great book btw), there's really a sad and ****ed up account of a church member named Yvonne who was suffering from a stroke only for her symptoms to constantly be ignored and downplayed.

    I woke up to the news. I apparently have a lot of fb friends who have had different degrees of interaction with him, and all keep saying that he was simply a wonderful, nice and humble person.

    Just saw that on the CNN website. I liked Grant Imahara - was my favorite one on the show. No cause of death given in the CNN article.
