I heard a rumor about a Revan movie that starts a KOTOR trilogy (if I say this enough times, it has to be true, right?).

 

Really? How did I do that? I did'nt even think that was possible.

Do we get to vote before they start shooting to decide if the charater will be male or female, if their fake backstory in the movie will be that of a soldier, a smuggler or a scout and if they end up being evil or good at the end?

 

Any rumors I should be aware of or...?

 

The SW fandom is active enough where we should get to vote on the movies that come next.

While that would be an interesting approach, I feel like it would ultimatly cuase more problems then anything else - Revan's gender could easily be decided by vote without much trouble, but things that actually influance the plot of the film in a major way should'nt be put to the floor like that.

 

The last thing Star Wars needs is to let the "fans" have any say.

 

So are you suggesting Revan's gender should be changed? Your trust is misplaced if you think the fans can intelligently vote on a major EU character's gender.

The fans have become the experts, over the stuffed shirts at Lucasfilm and Disney. Kathleen has her list of players.

 

My original reply to Darkslayer was a joke based on the fact that the gender is picked by the player at the start of KOTOR. Truthfully I think just voting on that one thing would probobly be a mess, but out of all the things they could vote on that I mentioned in my joke post it would cuase the least issues narrativly, as aside from who you get as a romance option your gender really does'nt matter to the plot of KOTOR.

We (I.E, the fans) can't even agree on whether or not the ST was good, lol - heck, we still can't even agree on if the PT was good or not. We're not experts on anything except arguing with each other.

 

So I guess the latest rumor is that Hayden is coming back for an animated series, or something.

 

Pfft. Why do that when you have a perfectly good Matt Lanter sitting on the shelf?

No offense, but I think voting is in general a terrible idea. Hire someone who has a single true-to-Star Wars vision and let them tell the story.

I’ve heard that too. It will be very interesting to see how they pull that off, if true, i.e. will Hayden be playing Vader (Vader’s bound to be in the show in some way) or will Anakin appear in flashbacks or as some manifestation of Obi-Wan’s guilt? I’d imagine the ‘manifestation’ may be more interesting...

 

I hope fans would stop ****ing off to Kevin Feige.

 

In the end, Hayden getting big role here would be much preferable over appearing in TROS.

 

I think he was going to have larger role in TROS but the movie was rushed so he could only appear as a voice to Rey. But i think TROS was his way into LF and the star wars family agian. TROS is first star wars movie since ROTS.
