Discussion What Future Star Wars Films Would You Like To See Made?

I think Crimson Empire could make for a really neat Disney+ series, but I want something with a bigger hook than "see what was happening between these other, more important movies!" as the hook for the next film(s).

 

Isn't crimson empire just a story off the red guards, the most pointless redshirts we see in star wars..

 

I'd like them to make a movie about some characters on a planet who have to deal with a situation that requires them to work together, travelling to other planets and fighting successfully against an antagonist.

 

You're hired.

 

They'll never announce that, though. They'll just quietly stop talking about the "upcoming EHT trilogy".

Give me the "Adventures of Bendak Starkiller," based off the original scripts by George Lucas.

Bendak Starkiller, a Force-using, gun-totting spacer goes around the galaxy with his crew fighting evil and what not. Set hundreds of years after the ST. There'll be a overall arc to the story that's only revealed more and more as the story goes one. Starts episodic, but then leads to something greater. I've been touting this idea for a while and even wrote a "treatment" of it on Google docs.

 

Have Iger or Kennedy mentioned the @EHT film publicly since his hiring was announced today? They seem to be curiously silent on it over the past three hours. I’m thinking it may not be happening.

 

I'd love to see a Disney+ series that focuses on Jedi padawans. Maybe something with the kind of tone of the later Harry Potter films. A live action series, taking place maybe right during the last days before the beginning of the clone wars, and following them in their time training in the temple, and on missions with their instructors. And we'd see how the beginning of the war affects each of them in different ways. We'd hear about the feats of familiar characters like Anakin and Mace Windu, etc...but it's in the background.

Inversely, I'd also love to see a series about some Sith lord, hundreds of years before the Skywalker saga, and following an apprentice's discovery and journey to becoming a Sith (not unlike the Darth Bane trilogy).

 

Disney hasn't been returning my phone calls for days now, but not to worry... I'm sure my movie is still on.

 

I think I have some bad news for you.

 

What we really need is a new trilogy that takes place in the LEGENDS EU timeline! The one where the rebels were more stronger and well equipped.

The distant past is just so rich a concept to explore. I really want to see an almost Arthurian or LOTR-like mythic story, but with spaceships.

 

I wonder if star wars in the godlen age will have myths and legends as a sword in a stone and ring of power. swift them up and instead of sword an ancient lightsaber sword, a ring of power but star wars version.

 

This. So much this. The potential is almost mind-boggling.

 

I wonder how old the darksaber really is. lots of mandalore story.
