Batfleck was the best Batman! IMO.

And Grey... you break my heart. The only reason Ezra sucks as the flash is because of how good Grant is at TV flash. It just doesn’t feel right.

But Batfleck and PatBat... I eagerly await the results.

Cyborg.... sigh. As a cyborg fan from the comics, I just don’t think what he does translates over well into live action and the actor choice didn’t help.

 

How can you prefer Batfleck to this masterpiece of the Bat:

I'm going to ignore what you said about Batfleck, but it's going to cost you some cool points.

No on PatBat!! Just...no, never, NOPE!!!!!

Then BRING the REAL FLASH to the Movie screen. Why is that Mission Impossible??????? Seriously.

Cyborg is an amazing character in DCUO and everywhere else, but leave it to Hollywood to get it wrong - cuz brown and intelligent...how do we cast that?( sorry, grrr!! )

And again NO PATBAT! I'll see how he fairs in TENET, but that's it.

 

I will freely admit to spending the vast majority of my time on SV* these days. I find it much, much more receptive to my writing (average of 80-100 likes per update, I’ve got a story at nearly 500 pages of comments). Made a good deal of friends there as well. Just...better for my writing, which never (RPs aside) picked up here.

Granted, I find their traditional (as opposed to Quests**) RP section to be rather lackluster. Less formalized, different GMing styles, the works. That’s still better here, if things haven’t changed while I’ve been there.

(I use my Discord server for more laid-back chatting, though)

I’ve seen Pattinson in a few roles since twilight. He’s really good and versatile. Admittedly... I didn’t not see that coming. Lol. But it was a welcome surprise!

I understand the logic behind the black eye makeup, I do. But could we at least have made it look a little less... My Chemical Romance?

Movie looks like a poor man’s Nolan. I’m not hyped at all. But then again, I haven’t been excited for a DC movie since Nolan. They just don’t do it for me these days.

 

Still early days for me to have judgement on The Batman with Pattinson... though I am surprised no one else has mentioned that Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck are returning as Batman for the Flash film.

 

My only criticism for the trailer is I don’t like Pattinson’s hair. I love Nolan’s Batman trilogy. It will be remembered as an all time great. The dark knight is still a close second as far as the best superhero film ever made IMO. But I don’t NEED my Batman to be like that. That’s just a take on it so I don’t always compare.

Plus, unapologetically, I’m a DC fanboy. I loved aquaman(didn’t think I would) and Man of Steel was the most accurate superman I’ve ever seen and almost made me sob like a boy when he destroyed the world engine. Joker was phenomenal.

All things aside, I’m down for the new Batman. A noir-like batman film with a Hush take on Riddler killing people? Gangster mod boss Penguin?



Edit: Cmon people give PatBat a chance. If you’ve seen Pattinson in other movies, he is a legit great actor.

 

Sooo... I just saw it. Dark. That's good, IMO. Batman's better when it's not flashy colors

Also, is this supposed to be a follow up to the last Joker movie?

Edit: Agreed with @The Jedi in the Pumas in the pumas about Nolan's trilogy being the Gold Standard.

 

Negative, Joker was a standalone one-off. And an absolutely fantastic one, at that.
