Always wanted to hang out in that room. Maybe take a nice nap on one of those sunlit recliners. [face_tired]

You enjoy naps in the sunlight? Not me! I'd take the carbon freezing chamber where it's nice and dark instead.:D

Saw TESB on the big screen with my son Friday, and although nothing really stands out, there were just a lot of little details and background things that stood out, that I never notice on TV or my laptop monitor. And the soundtrack and sound FX, wow, even though I listened to the CD a million times in my car over the years, especially on road trips, hearing it in the theater was just incredible. My 7 year old finally got to see the Bespin lightsaber duel the proper way!

Mind if I ask where? Was it playing in your regular neighborhood theater? You were obviously in the right place at the right time. Very cool:cool:

This doesn't fall into not noticed. I want to know where the ladder came from, and where did it go after Luke got in?

Probably from a canopy on the side that retracts from the side?

I know people always talk about the dude on Bespin running around with an ice-cream machine, but Luke puts one in his little cargo area during this scene.

There so many unintentional nuances in these 3 films I wouldn't be surprised to see them being uncovered for years.

    I was watching ANH yesterday and noticed a small detail that left me wondering;

When Luke is attacked by the Tusken Raiders and looses consciousness, Obi Wan bends down and places a hand on his forehead. For years I thought was just checking his temperature or something but on this watch I noticed him touching his own head at the same time with his other hand before he turns to R2 and tells him not to worry and that "He'll be alright"

Do you think old Ben was healing Luke in the same way Rey demonstrated healing abilities in TROS?

no, he's just doing a generic Star Wars version of checking his temperature and pulse.

Overall, the CT is as much a work-in-progress as the ST. The only trilogy with a coherent story arc from start to finish is the PT. Lots of complaining about the ST not having a story arc, but the CT originally nothing more than a stand-alone movie called 'Star Wars'.

This is widely believed but wildly exaggerated - there's some fascinating behind-the-scenes information about the different ways in which the PT could have wound up going.

Unfortunately, it also has nothing whatsoever to do with this thread, so I'm a little confused as to why you posted it here.

Oh man, I never thought about that. From now on, that to me will be my explanation for the reason Obi-Wan smiles when he looks back to Vader before allowing himself to be killed.

I always supposed he was using the force to sense how injured Luke was.

I guess it’s open to interpretation though.

Basically yeah. In an earlier script of ROTS, Obi-Wan told Anakin that Padmé was hurt and needed medical attention.

There's a lot of character in those duels, just in general. I love the way Luke is obviously barely tamping down his terror in Empire, and how that terror is pretty much gone when they face off again in Jedi. Hamill really doesn't get enough credit for the way he tunes his performance from movie to movie.

The way A New Hope is put together, as an entirely unbroken chain of events, blew my mind whenever I finally realized/got tipped off about it. The subject of this new video, actually.

Not necessarily something I noticed, but thought of...

Vader takes Han's blaster in TESB.
So Han's blaster in ROTJ is a new blaster of his, right?

Well, the Wookieepedia page for his blaster says "Solo's trusted blaster ended up in the hands of his rebel allies following their escape from Cloud City."
It then says Han has his blaster returned to him before the mission on Endor.

So how did the Rebels get his blaster back from Vader again? Any details on that? In EU or canon?
