Political assassinations don't make US troops less likely to be murdered, quite the opposite.

You mean the Pandemic that Trump downplayed for months, and his followers oppose things like mask wearing and vaccines? He failed America on the coronavirus response.
As for "business", he mostly seems interested in helping Big Business, not workers, and not small businesses who found the funds that were supposed to be dispersed to them snatched up Trump's mega-corporate cronies. Chalk up another failure on his part.
It is incredibly racist to change long-standing definitions of what it is be 'arriving here legally' to favor nations that are... well, white, and to be honest aren't interested to migrating to the US - instead of the "****hole countries" as Trump put it.
Being born rich isn't being 'successful'. Manipulating the stock market isn't being 'successful'. Profiting off other people's hard work by doing very little yourself isn't being 'successful'.
What he is doing is attempting to destroy Social Security and Medicare by eliminating the 'payroll tax' while claiming to want to 'save' Social Security and Medicare. You know what that makes him, right? A liar.
Just ask George Floyd. What, you forgot about him already? Trump forgot who he was halfway through his phonecall to the murdered man's family.
Police departments have zero accountability and are free to do whatever they want under Donald Trump. So much for 'reform'
Bolton - one of the numerous people that Trump hired and then dropped? Tell me, bob, with the amount of hand-picked people in his administration that have left and been fired - much, much more than any other administration in US history - does that not make Donald Trump an incredibly poor judge of character?
And Trump has made it clear - he doesn't hate war, he hates not making a profit from war. He's more than happy to supply troops to countries that have something he wants and are willing to pay - such as Saudi Arabia. Not to mention that he's done everything within his power to bait Iran into a conflict.

Having your Military prepared for war is a good thing. It makes it less likely that your enemy would go to war with you.

Having your military deployed for extensive offensive operations doesn't make it less likely that your enemy will go to war with you, it warns them you intend to attack and incites them to either prepare their own defense or mount an earlier offense.

Thanks, Bob. I actually do appreciate you responding.

    1) I’d like to hear why you think Biden is unfriendly to business. He has very clearly indicated numerous times that he’s no threat to the corporate interests of the Democratic establishment.
    2) Putting aside for the moment that I totally disagree with his stated border policies, how has Trump secured the border long term? His wall is largely unfinished and already showing signs of erosion. Not to mention the fact that it isn’t stopping anyone from getting across the border.
    3) I believe Biden has recently indicated there will be no new taxes for anyone making less than 400k a year.
    4) And then tear gassed peaceful protesters. Forgive me if I don’t buy that he actually supports the fundamental change that’s needed to the justice system.
    5) Yet supports Saudi Arabia’s intervention in Yemen. Again his words mean little when his actions actively harm people.

These are all interesting discussions, but the most pressing issue, what's going to decide the election aside from voter suppression, is the pandemic, and the economic recession caused by the pandemic. Trump's alleged uncanny business acumen can't lead us through an economic recovery if he can't lead us out of the pandemic. And he's proven beyond any doubt that he can't lead us out of a pandemic. At least 60% of registered voters understand this.

Sidebar to Hi-5 a fellow scrub tech!

I also have no idea why nearly everyone i test at my lab thinks their mask works better under their chin. Or only covering their mouth.

If we can do 8+ hrs in a single OR room with a lead apron and thyroid shield(god i hate jaw repairs) they can put a mask on for a 3 minute drug screen.

Biden will hit business with regulations that Trump removed that will make it more difficult to do business and that's the last thing business needs right now.
another reason I like Trump is what he did with the nation's energy policies.

You are doing that thing again. The thing where you argue against positions nobody has taken. When liberals start arguing we should be drone striking Russian generals let me know, I’ll argue against that too.

Hi there! :) Exactly. All of these things can be done when we simply accept that they need to be done.

Pesky 'regulations' like those regarding clean air and water.
What, actively trying to destroy the solar energy industry? Trying to prop up the dying coal industry? Wanting gas prices to be higher so that businesses and consumers both are negatively impacted?

Bingo. And it should go without saying that his alleged business uncanny acumen is a fairy tale relentlessly promoted by him for his entire public life. Meanwhile...
-Daddy secretly bailed him out time and time again.
    -Bankrupted casinos
-Reduced to where no U.S. bank would lend money to this supposed billionaire
-Resurrected by a flood of money from Russia (hm...)

Not a fan od tweets outside of the **** posting thread, because that's what they are--**** posts. It's annoying to have actual discussion interrupted by tweets. It's lazy... use actual words to make your point.

A Twitter link is no different from an ordinary news link except it includes a short summary of the story.

It breaks the flow of reading. It might sound weird but it's true. It's very distracting.

How is it more distracting than posting a photo? Why is it so hard to skim past it? Anyway, I'm interested in your thoughts but this is the wrong thread for it.

It's like, if people were having a real life discussion, and you barged in, yelling, "HEY, LOOK AT ME!" They absolutely disrupt the flow of conversation.

    This.

Green energy creates jobs. I thought Republicans were all about job creation. But only if that job creation gives CEOs a pass for being cheap, too lazy to innovate, and unconcerned about the planet I guess?

Indeed posting photos and gifs is distracting as well, and when I do it I feel guilty immediately after posting.

Fine. Let's just mandate everyone to use text only.
