It's true that we're stuck with them and also that all politicians should be capable to grow and evolve and have the ability to learn from the things they did that have hurt their present or future constituents, and change for the best to better represent the people whose vote they are seeking.

But I'm also aware of just how much the right-wingers are salivating to encourage even more divisions with voters who are likely to vote Democrat. The divisiveness can easily become liberals' main Achilles heel.

I knew it! The exact same phrase has been repeated by completely different people in different nights:
"Joe Biden doesn't know anything about business. He spent 47 years in Washington, and a 48th won't change anything."
It was said by a dude talking about bank de-regulations yesterday and from a Wisconsin business woman tonight.

If the same writers really have to write the speech for each speaker, it might be a good idea not to copy and paste the same speech lol.

    EDIT :
Rudy Giuliani followed by Tom Cotton [face_sick][face_sick][face_sick][face_sick]

    Curious logic by Ben Carlson:
"You know what is racist? The fact that black people get abortions at a larger rate than white people."

Lincoln Project will think that using the White House like this is tantamount to religious blasphemy

Ivanka is the best liar in the family, it comes so naturally to her. She's more her father's daughter than any of the other trumplets

This is not one of his better speeches, low energy, basically a state of the union speech. He's always terrible on a teleprompter but he seems more tired this time. He's also worse at promoting himself than attacking opponents, and everything he's touting is nonsense, trade deals that nobody notices, a wall that everybody except qanons knows doesn't exist.

I can’t imagine that would change anyone’s vote. This is a guy who ought to be charged with a hundred thousand counts of negligent homicide, with avoidable deaths in every US state and territory. If his followers are fine with all that, why would they care that he cheats on his taxes?

I've listened his speech for some minutes.
I'm still quite shocked by the fact that they really chose to use the "Biden is a radical" line of attack.
He's arguably the least progressive candidate after Klobby and Bloomberg. Whoever reads the news once per week would know that.

It's mostly just braindead slop for his base, but it does have a collateral effect, which is that media sometimes asks Biden to respond, and reject progressive policies. Trump says Biden wants to stop fossil fuel production, and then a journalist will ask Biden if he still supports fracking, which he answers in the affirmative, and progressives face palm.

If someone reads the GOP press there is no need to convince them to vote for Trump. This is what confuses me. No person with a vague grasp of what's going on would see in Biden a socialist, and if someone is already brainwashed by the GOP propaganda to the point of believing that BS, then what's the point in trying to persuade them in the first place?

Mmmh @Glitterstimm does have a point. Biden coalition is very diverse ideologically, so on that aspect it might actually work.

I would be surprised if they read the news at all. My impression was they just watched Fox News all day long. Maybe I exaggerate, but not by much.
