Since we are in 2020, what are everyone's top movies to see this year?

'Dune' is my top movie at the end of year
'No Time To Die' and 'Godzilla Vs Kong' a close second.

Apart from that, I can't think off the top of my head anything worthwhile seeing in cinemas.

I recently just started watching Wonder Woman and have really liked it so far, so hopefully I'll be able to catch Wonder Woman 1984 in cinemas. The shorts for Mulan looked quite good, so might catch that sometime too. And of course Black Widow will be a must see. :p

Hmmm… good question, from the top of my head...
    Top spot would be:
    - Wonder Woman '84

    Then:
    - Tenet
    - Mulan
    - No Time To Die
    - Death on the Nile

Honourable mentions that might be fun:
    - Black Widow
    - Raya and the Last Dragon
    - Scoob
    - Minions: The Rise of Gru

Oh I forgot about Black Widow, I must see that too. Surely there are more Marvel movies this year

I think Black Widow is the only one for this year. Although they have a bunch of TV shows coming out near the end of this year so that'll probably make up for it :p

The other night I got around to seeing 1917. Very good war movie. Technically, what an achievement :D

Started watching it a while ago with my son, but I found it a bit violent for my tender mind. Yes, I know its based on reality and war is horrible, I'm not saying other wise, just didn't like the 'tension'. I hate feeling tense for no reason, others love it. I avoid it if I can.

I am curious to see the Snyder Cut of Justice League. That is set to come out next year.

Until then, we have Wonder Woman ‘84 later this year.

Caught up with It Chapter 2 and the Lego Ninjago Movie. Both solid movies, the former was a bit too long though.

So Artemis Fowl dropped on Disney+ last night...

I can't decide whether calling it an entertaining hot mess is fair or not.

We GOT Disney on Friday, I've been binge watching a few things! Mostly the SW Stuff. I did watch 'Decendants' only because I love the idea of all the goodies and baddies having kids.........it was a teenie movie but the costumes were elaborate and I laughed when the singing and dancing started..........that's when my husband got up and said "That's the limit, I'm out!' :p

Haha, yeah I watched the Descendants movies a while ago for fun and was very amused by the whole thing. :p I have to agree about the costumes, they looked very well made and quite unique.

I miss it too though with how things are progressing, I dare not risk it. Will see how things are when Wonder Woman ‘84 comes out.

A few years ago they had a SW Saga marathon at cinemas, spread over two days. That was definitely an experience. I hope the conditions remain favourable for you both for that.

I've never seen the OT in cinemas so hopefully something like that happens over here in WA.

Well the group who were doing it kinda faded away......and now I have a big family event on Sunday and need to be home on Sunday to clean and all....so its a bust for now, not because of the 'rona'. Then again, we've had an outbreak here in SA and wouldn't surprise me if it was shut down. No one wants to commit to anything because of it I guess. We are back to max of 10 in our homes, and Sunday I have both parents and us makes 7 so we're good for now.

Found out yesterday that ESB is showing at my local cinema (Which I thought was closed because of COVID-19), only to find that the 2 sessions a day for a week don't fit with my work schedule :(

I saw ESB at the drive-in on the weekend and it was great!

That would have been a great experience at the drive-in!

I’ve watched Mulan twice. Overall I loved it, the landscapes and artistry and some of the smaller details (And a certain cameo). It is a beautiful looking film. However, I won’t spoil anything but I felt there was something missing, some element that it need to elevate the film higher. The contrast between the highs and lows felt minor or not enough time to experience it and so the sense of urgency or impact is not as strong as it could have been. Elements did remind me of the Prince of Persia, some landscapes felt like Middle-Earth (some of it was filmed in NZ).

I now see that Return of the Jedi is coming to my local theatre for only a week but I'm away :( I'll never see these movies on the big screen
