I love Aya Cash from You're the Worst, and loving her new character Stormfront. Still to watch episode 3...

 

My missus has forbidden me from watching this until ALL episodes are released as she wants to watch it all over a handful of nights like we did season one.

 

Thankfully my missus doesn't like the show so I don't have to wait. 201 was a good intro to the season with one surprise moment that made me jump.
I'll watch 202 tomorrow and 203 on Sunday during my workouts on each day.

 

Holy **** that's the woman from You're the Worst? I didn't even recognize her. Although it would explain why I love watching her performance so much.

Well, Stormlight is just another Homelander.

So, I mean, why do I feel like that is not Homelander's child despite him now revealed to have powers?

 

God I wanted to love Stormfront. Then the shoe dropped. I still do love her, but I'm just not rooting for her.

 

Giancarlo Esposito needs ALL the awards. I love him taking a larger role this season and being the one person not afraid to stand up to Homelander and put him in his place.

Ticked that this is not all out at once. This was the perfect weekend for a binge of The Boys and now I’m bored. I saw the comparison to Doom Patrol, but that was also released on a weekly schedule because that is how DC Universe always did it. They did the same with Titans, Harley Quinn, Swamp Thing, and Stargirl.

But Amazon usually does a full season drop. So this was an annoying change. And yeah on the whole subscription thing, I purchase prime yearly so I don’t think that’s the issue. The likely issue is their lack of programming due to COVID so they are stretching things out to buy themselves time. Still stupid.

As to Stormfront, you know where her name comes from right?

 

After watching the first episode I must say that I am really happy that season 2 seems to have kept the charme of season one.

Everyone has a secret on someone. I think it'd be great if all the secrets came out to the public at once. The show is doing a good job of giving various characters goals against other characters so it's hard to guess who might kill who.

Ah so we come to the crux. Not superman but rather specifically ubermensch. Not just some southern racist is Stormlight but a full on Nazi. And what a commentary that Homelander embraces the idea of an army of them.

So when your...what shall I call it...weapon? Tentacle? Dude's junk was like Mr Fantastic. What super name do you take? Mr Hentai? The Erector? Dr Holmes?

Also, x-men wise, a funny tidbit is that LampLighter , who basicly has Pyro powers, is played by Shawn Ashmore, who played Iceman in the Fox X-men movies.
