Ooh, I'm jealous. I've never seen a Lightning. I've ridden in a B-17 and a Stearman and a Trimotor Ford, sat in a Mustang, wiped oil off the belly of a Thunderbolt, seen a couple of Spitfires, but never a Lightning.

 

And I'm jealous of you.

 

Hokay, so. Squadrons Thoughts:
1) UI is GREAT. The fighter customization is intuitive
2) Rebels have better cockpit Tchotchkes
3) Game FEELS like Star Wars.
4) First story mission was very well written and felt like old times
5) Controls were strange and not super intuitive, I kept inverting and un-inverting the Y Axis and still over-correcting
6) Xbox 360 controller is better for me apparently. Still kinda rubbish at the whole "Flying" thing.
7) The fact that cutting your throttle brings you to a full stop is going to result in a lot of people being very easy kills.
8) As the Rebels, you can get an ewok bobblehead in your cockpit and slap an Ewok decal on your fighter. SOME EXPLITIVE DELETED READ WRAITH SQUADRON.


You can even slap an Ewok insignia on your ship.

Also, 181st Stripes are unlockable:


And Imperials get cooler flightsuits, while Rebels get better fighter camo, as they both should.

Well, I suppose you don't take the job if you don't enjoy the source material. Maybe it's a fan like us, determined to reintroduce some of the Legends to the new Canon? Part of me wants to try it out, but I'd have to buy an Xbox, and I already lost 5 years of my life to the Sims... you'd all never see me again! Only I heard that EA has introduced a Star Wars expansion pack to the new Sims release and I...am... RESISTING... No, no, they have enough of my money!!!
