I liked the S8 ending, Danny going batty and burning the damn place to the ground is a legit place for the character to end up considering she's threatening to burn places to the ground, like, all the damn time. My complaint about the big white walker battle episode 3 was you can't see the damn thing and no it isn't just my TV settings if everyone is complaining about it. (from what I can tell, there was some great action and the last sting of music at the climax is legit great) But once again Arya being the one to take out the White Walker Night King, that is a legit cool decision. Although I guess her faceless man trick culminated in the last season finale with Littlefinger which is alright, but her ninja training save the world.

As for the Dragon show, it seems like a doubling down on dragon-related chaos and fire is a decent way to prequelize the series, and you don't have to wait like 3 seasons for the dragons to burn somebody (but they did do a good job at the end of S2)

GoT season 8 ending was still better than the ending of the Sopranos or Westworld season 3. There is no need to whine about it.

 

So according to the EW guy‘s book, the Direwolves‘s role was originally supposed to be lerger.

Can they just rename the book “Overstating the Obvious: Things any Idiot Could Have Figured Out About Game of Thrones”.

 

I don't know if HBO in the US has the same schedule as HBO Canada but I just noticed starting 2 days ago at around 10PM-2 AM they're re-showing the entire series, every night (some of the early seasons are 4 eps a night, later seasons sometimes only one episode) all the way until December 28th. Tuned in last night and Ned was totally still alive and Khal Drogo made a crown for a king, pretty sweet. I definitely do some late night TV watching so this is pretty awesome personally, certainly better than most late night TeeVee.

 

There seems to be some new behind the scenes released.

 

Good old Conan. How’s he doing? When do we get more Game of Thrones.

I do wonder if the final season was pushed back a year to 2020 and the Pandemic’s start - how would the last six episodes have been received. Personally I thought the series ended just fine.

Same. I'll read Martin's remaining books if he finishes them. But I don't have much of a desire to see its spinoffs on HBO.
