*Idly rubs chin whilst waiting for the fondling grandmother to post first*

I must say I rather enjoy these updates. I for one feel this sets a better aligned path for me to create for Ne'tar to develop in. Although it also provides a structure that limits what I would like to see him do, I can already tell three natures I would love for him to have and be able to use. That's ridiculous though, and that leaves two. . .which I could see combining using a rather Avatar method of branching out with his magic. Hmm. Might have to have a conversation later. . . spells he would know. Hmm. Local Shaman already established, likely a Southern Xan village - albeit from near the boarder of the two Orc arch tribes so Northern/Southern Xan? Cats dance on hot tin roofs, what do Philacha dance on?. . .Hmm. :p

One strong, two neophyte magic schools based on random Orc Shaman knowledge. . .never played DnD really so. Hmm. I think my brain is going to smoke.

Thank you! It isn't uncommon for people to dip their toes in many natures. Just mastery is usually at most one.

Fairly typically for a skilled mage to have one at each level however a particularly 'gifted' one can achieve more at each level.

    To give an example...

Dominus' nature, despite being a Knight of Illusion, is actually 'Enhancement' which is magic of increasing one's natural limits and sensory perception, (Achieving super human speed, strength, hearing and healing) He thus has Mastery of Enhancement, is an Adept at Illusion and an Apprentice at Negation.

    Awesome!

Also I added a few clarifications to the textbook. One being that natures have opposites and that a brief note on ryujin/normal magic... (I expect I will make a more in depth post on this at some point)

Yes Dominus was able to get to Adept of a nature that was opposite to his own...[face_devil]

    Don't worry non-magic people I haven't forgotten about you...[face_skull]

EDIT: If there are other things you all would like explained, within reason (Gotta leave some stuff to naturally unfold :)), I am more than willing to write up more entries. (I do have more planned...[face_batting])

Thank you! [face_blush] I should credit Warhammer Fantasy for the ideas - but then it all goes back to Tolkien doesn’t it?

*tries to hide the artwork he used for the wood elf king is the wood elf king in the hobbit*

    Twas a wonderful entry @Kurisan

Magic works very differently in Regnum then in Middle Earth.

Almost anything fantasy traces back to Tolkien, yes. :)

And I should hope the magic does, @Shadowsun! I want flashy displays of power and you know, an actual magical system that I can understand. (One of few criticisms I had of Tolkien's work) :p

Oh? I'm a huge fan of the more 'soft' magic system in LOTR...but not very conducive for an RPG in my mind (or at least a lot less fun)...to each their own I suppose...:)

Soft magic definitely works with Middle-Earth and in some other worlds, not going to argue. Lol

As you say, it is just a personal preference thing. :p

Anyway if you guys need an extra day to post that's fine... although I could do an update without you responding for reasons [face_mischief]

Feel free to update. Esenma's along for the ride no matter what. I'll write my post accordingly afterwards.

Plus, I still have to read everyone else's! @Mitth_Fisto assume Esenma has unhanded the young buck!

Alrighty...is regular updates on Sundays good with everyone (Or if everyone posts potentially earlier) room to wriggle if needed but a steady rhythm I think is good.

A wise decision...remember what I said about foolish decisions in the OP...? [face_skull]

Anyway got a new entry in the Journal (fret not it is much shorter then the last one). I recommend you read the update first though.
