There goes his "gracious concession" chance. This guy doesn't give two ****s about the country.

Is this the first time a losing President hasn't conceded? He looked pathetic and defeated arriving back the the WH today. But nah, gonna keep up the stupid for 3 months.

Either Trump burns or the country does. He'll choose the country. He'll rile up his base, incite hatred, stoke unrest. The next two months are the actual test.

Maybe not because there still the senate to maybe have an even 48 48 control of senate vote Georgia and that can help Mitch McConnell lose power and Trump lost election is only the beginning.

Next, he'll do the "I'm still the President" mixed with "no, there's no Covid taskforce, you didn't vote for me so screw you" card.

Trump will die before he concedes, he’s not going to chain himself into the Oval Office or anything, but he’s never going to admit he actually lost.

    This was helpful:
    https://crsreports.congress.gov/product/pdf/IF/IF11641

Essentially, Trump can stay behind his wall of denial until well into December if that's the way he wants to roll, and potentially, though this would be entertaining if not particularly good for anybody, until January 6. After that we know banishment to Elba is probably a bad idea, and he should probably be sent straight to Saint Helena.

@Fredrik Vallestrand, this is in the OP:

On policy extremism I agree with you. But civility, both sides have been worse than they have ever been and you cannot just blame it on Republicans. Social media was a mistake as just stokes the flames and allows them to snipe at each other more effectively.

The Speaker of the House ripped up the State of the Union speech last January. How is that being civil? The state of the Union is required by the Constitution. multiple times in the past Congressional leaders have been civil no matter how vehement these have been in opposition to the sitting President.

If he goes much further the Republicans will force Trump out of office with the 25th Amendment. They can't have him damage the party now or have him ruining their future political asperations as a spoiler for the right.

Trumps a looser now. This lion only has his roar left. No more claws or teeth. The other politicians in his own party will see him as a rival soon. This is going to get very interesting if Trump keeps up this behavior. This could also have legal repercussions that follow him when he's a private citizen.

The problem with Trumps tantrums is that President Biden is not going to work directly with the current government structure in setting up his transition of power.

Perhaps going forward new laws need put into place making it very clear the steps and time table required for transition of power. If this tantrum becomes a refusal to work with President Biden and transition new staff before January, it's dangerous to the national security of the United States.

Yea, we tried that one, President Boring following President Hyperactive. And since President Boring played with fire and did his best to face the far right in the runoff and actually did nothing for the common man despite being a socialist (when low income workers see their disposable income decrease, you fail at being socialist), it resulted in our far right being stronger than ever.

Has an outgoing President ever missed inauguration? If so, I assume it was due to illness, rather than having a tempter tantrum that would embarrass a three year old.
