Trump's biggest legislative "achievements" were signing the tax cut and the Cares Act which helped save the economy from the first wave of the pandemic.

if there's one thing that fries are missing, it's those needed extra calories that only mayo or tartar sauce can provide. Oh, or melted butter!

Trump instituted lockdown... Hmmmmm...

I doubt it very much. Trump's most loyal supporters have been programmed through propaganda that "Lockdown Bad" and even worse "Lockdown Dems" If Trump locked down it would equal a 180 degree shift. That's Dem stuff. Also the Republican's do not want to own a lockdown on their watch.

And why would military leaders need to be replaced or resign if it was for a lockdown to help protect American's from a pandemic - unless there is more to it. But I sort of doubt it.

It'd be amazing if Trump brought all the troops home. But like someone else posted - that has the potential to be a net positive - that's not something Trump would do.

Is it possible all these DOD firings and shakeups are just to make Trump feel better? He's a petulant baby. But he does love firing people. Pushing around the armed forces might put a swagger back in his step.

Or is this Trump's attempt to make an even bigger mess for Biden to clean up?

 

From the party of "anything Trump does, we support". Trump could easily say we need to lockdown the blue cities because of the pandemic, or when the EC votes for Biden, and Trump declares that "He won and won't be leaving", the massive protests that arise in Dem states, are met wit military troops and further lockdowns to ensure the safety of the country.

In both cases, you know Trump Cult would be 1000% for it. After all, the Dem-Antifa tried to steal the election from their messiah.. They deserve martial law.

 

If he can spin it as a way to own the libs, and he can, then sure. It doesn't have to make the least bit of sense, but there you go. Ultimately that's the core of what the Republican Party is about: war on liberals.

 

Oh... I get it. So use a Pandemic lockdown as cover to get the military in place to facilitate a coup or electoral college steal.... That's a two step plan, which is about twice as many steps as we've seen Trump use. Also a lot of ways this could not work... Not that definite failure would stop Trump.... I don't think the people will riot if a lockdown order was given when things are bad - and the COVID situation is bad right now - getting worse. So why would the military be in place in advance of the final election decisions without reason to be mobilized already.

And would the military go along with it. Look at Easter European countries when this sort of thing happened as the iron curtain fell. Most of the soldiers given order like this didn't follow through. Once word gets out of an uprising of citizen being squashed by the military in one city the rest of the country rose up together and the military sided with the people.

Just seems like a lot of variables and thinking. A more direct plan could be Trump starts a war for Biden to handle.

Could we have a 60 days war that Biden would just stop on day one? Can that happen? Trump starting a war doesn't seem likely either....

But...that still doesn't mean Trump wouldn't ... try it. Guys got everything to lose right now. Doesn't care about anyone else. Certainly not the country that rejected him.
