Amph ATLA and The Legend of Korra (ATLA live action remake coming Feb 2024)

As far as best written, that will always be Zuko for me. Never seen character development like that before. Kylo Ren and Jamie Lannister come close (but season 8 of GOT ruined his chances).

Katara used to be my favorite when I was ten, but now I prefer Toph and Azula. If I'm honest with myself, I am slightly more partial to Azula, as I always enjoy Grey DeLisle's voicework and her blue fire will never not be awesome to me.

 

Azula is a great villain, but man she makes my blood boil in the flashbacks during ‘Zuko Alone’. A real piece of work that child was!

 

Watching that scene growing up she reminded me of so many bratty kids. Except the ones I knew didn't have firebending, so they weren't even half as interesting as she was.

Perhaps, after all this time, you’d like to justify her use of a mech to assault Republic City?

I finally got my hands on the limited edition Zuko with lightning pop vinyl today. Now I have the whole squad! Well, minus Appa. I’ll get him one day.

Azula is a hell of a villain I must say as she acts as a distraction during the invasion. What a chase/battle!

That’s literally the episode I just watched last night on my second series watch. If only Toph had earthbent to cover her mouth as well as her wrists.

 

'bout time they kissed. Interesting thing about this show, it has a martial arts aura about it but most of the time thee is no physical combat, it's more of a duel of wizards.

 

So I come to the last episode before they combine the last 3 (4?) into an hour and a half. I'll watch it later this week. I would totally watch an Airbender play btw.

Ember Island Players is amazing. I love how everyone is so offended the whole time, but Toph is enjoying every second of it. I’d be acting the exact same way as her.

 

Just finished my second watch through. God damn that finale is both epic and beautiful. This is easily in my top 3 shows of all time with Game of Thrones and The Clone Wars.

Well that was spectacular. I guessed right as Aang tortured himself on how to end it without killing; drain his power. This was a visually amazing show, and it was on full display as Aang fought Ozai, the jet-like exhaust of his flight, the airship falls as he comes blazing at Aang, not to mention the thrust sound effect of the various powers. You can tell, the makers of the show loved it.
