Is it canceled or completed?

Sometimes I’ve seen cancelled used incorrectly.

 

We’ll see, but this feels more like canceled than completed.

 

It's probably worth noting that they did hit the magic number. Apparently Disney has only had something like ten shows go over 65 episodes.

 

It's still sad. This has been the one show I've looked forward to watching every week for the last few years.

 

Yeah, hopefully Ducktales will have an actual ending as opposed to just stopping, but this kind of feels to me a little like what happen with Milo Murphy’s Law, ie really great show and obviously talented team getting screwed over because Disney failed to recognize what it had.

 

I mean it's good to know it won't be left hanging with anything. Hopefully, this means they really do move forward with Darkwing Duck.

 

Yeah, hopefully the Ducktales team will be involved with Darkwing, although it doesn’t really sound like it. I mean Seth Rogen? Really?

@GrandAdmiralJello yeah, I get the sense that they were hoping for four seasons, but knew that there was a theoretical possibility that might not happen and at least gave some thought to what they wanted the show’s endgame to look like, so that the show could have something like a proper conclusion, as opposed to what happened last year with Milo Murphy’s Law, where the season’s main story arc was wrapped up, but the show really just stopped.

 

*sigh*. Stupid Disney.

And even with all the family members showing up, we're never going to see the triplet's father, are we?

 

There’s literally a joke about that in the official Duck family tree, of course not.

 

Oh, I know. It's the old Don Rosa family tree, after all.
But the appearance of so many obscure family members - I mean, Della barely existed prior to the new series - had my hopes up.

Says you. I’m trying not to read too deeply into anything, but I’d like to think that the podcast will eventually turn into something a lot for substantial than seven episodes.
