Since I'm guessing this is going to be a passing the torch movie (it has to be right?), I'm going to go out on a limb and predict this movie is going to be called [name other than Indiana] Jones and the [rest of the title]. Indy's child - not Mutt unless they recast - will be the main protagonist.

 

I'm honestly surprised the movie is still happening. I'm all for Indiana Jones tries to find Spaceballs 2.

 

I am too. Between Harrison Ford's age and Spielberg departing, it just feels like this movie isn't meant to be. It would have been great if they had made more Indy movies back in the 90s, but I think it's too little, too late. I would love to be proven wrong.

 

I'm excited. Love the first three, and don't dislike the fourth as much as I used to. Bring it on.

 

I love Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. I'm mixed on Temple of Doom and disliked Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. If they get good actors and a good script the new one can be good. I'm just not get excited yet.

 

Do one more and be done with it. Indy is not Bond. Indy is Harrison.

Right now I'm still leaning to feeling ambivalent at best but I'll let a teaser sway me. I wouldn't personally mind an introspective coda of an aged Indy circa the early seventies in the vein of Logan...but that's probably not want they'll go for and might be a tougher sell to audiences more so even than Indy 4. And might be straying from the light-hearted pulp adventure feel too much. But on the other hand, Harrison's kind of past the point of convincingly pulling off the same stunts as before. So I dunno.

 

Yes, and that’s what sells me on the film. Keep the series pure. This is it.
