The Cast of Rogue Squadron

    It’s never too early to start discussing who we’d like to see cast in the Rogue Squadron movie. Whether it’s someone new to the franchise or someone returning let us know who is top of your list. I’ll start.

    For returning actors I’d like to see the one and only Denis Lawson return as Wedge Antilles. He’d be great as the veteran starfighter instructor. It would also be cool to see Jessica Henwick’s role expanded. Maybe she could even be Rogue Leader since I’d imagine she’d be more experienced than the rest of the squadron.

    For new additions I think Gal Gadot is almost a given. Brie Larson has played a pilot in the MCU so it’d be kinda fun for her to play another one in Star Wars. Idris Elba as anything because I just want to see Idris Elba in a Star Wars film. Jack Quaid is really good in The Boys. I can picture him as a young hotshot pilot.

    Anyway there’s are my picks for now. It'll be great to see how far off I am. :p

    If they are casting Pogue Squadron I am anxious to hear who they get to play Jem Finer and Spider Stacy.

    Gal Gadot as an alien pilot would be cool.

    I like your suggestion of Jack Quaid, he would fit right in as a rookie pilot.

    Speaking of the Boys, Anthony Starr as an enemy ace, an Imperial/First Order remnant "Red Baron", would be awesome.

    I would also like to see Emma Corrin, she is phenomenal in the Crown.

    Plenty of great actors that can be used, as long as they stay away from focusing on big names and instead look for big talent, I'm sure I'll be fine with anyone they cast.

    David Lyons as a soft spoken but merciless pilot. He was fantastic in Revolution. Could see him as either an antihero protagonist type or full blown antagonist

    I mentioned elsewhere, but if this will be about a new generation of pilots, then I'd imagine most of the principal cast will be under 35 (using Oscar Isaac in TFA as a baseline). So we're likely to see a new crop of faces, but as far as established actors go, I'd love to see guys like Jharrel Jerome or Daniel Kaluuya as pilots.

    Willem Dafoe has already signed up as Spider Stacy.

    Still no word on who's playing Jem Finer, but the fancast favorite is Timothy Spall.

    Chris Pine might be good, but I'd want him in heavy alien make up so it wouldn't look like junior Captain Kirk piloting an X-wing.
