Gaming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle [Xbox / PC]

So Bethesda through Machine games is making an Indiana Jones game.

I am intrigued to say the least.

 

I hope they get Ford to do the voice acting, although the voice actor in Fate of Atlantis was very good, so it's not a deal-breaker either.

 

Ford has never given his likeness or voice to games or the ride at Disneyland, so I wouldn't hold my breath on that one. I mean it would be amazing but I don't think it's likely.

 

Can’t wait for Indy to finally fight Mecha-Hitler.

 

I guess Machine games just makes games about Nazis now.

Yeah I'm expecting they'll use his likeness but get some impersonator for the voice. Honestly I'd rather a professional VA given how bad "regular" actors usually are in video games...

Even getting his likeness would be great. They haven't had it for other things many times.

 

They had him for Battlefront, I think? Plus they usually slap him on the box of every Indiana Jones game for obvious reasons, so I just assume there's some contract weirdness there.

Yes, I remember when I was a youngster foolishly flushing my money away on Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, and it was quite the ordeal getting a full-sized actor home in the car. This is why publishers have largely switched to digital distribution models these days.

 

Well I am mostly thinking of how he's never leant his likeness to the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland, which still makes me sad.

I had been wanting a new Indy game, and here we are. Great timing.

 

When they announced the Lucasfilm Games renaming, my first thought was "Indy game incoming". So happy.

 

XB / PC exclusive I reckon.

True, going to be interesting seeing how it plays out.

My reasons were as a single player game, no multiplayer, it could probably sell XBX as a system.

 

I think it depends how much Disney gets upfront

 

I mean, they got Bill Murray to do the Ghostbusters game. Anything is possible.

 

This does have my interest. Never played any of the Uncharted or Tomb Raider games (or any of the older Indy games, for that matter), but playing as Indy in the 30s does sound pretty undeniably fun, if they are able to capture the spirit of the films.

I wonder what the core MacGuffin might be? Surely something of Christian origin, given the proximity to the original films that this is seemingly set in.
