Notes: Been working on this little fancomic and thought I'd try posting it here, since it is technically fanfiction, and I've seen people use illustrations in their stories here before, so I see no reason why a comic couldn't count...

Lovely art and a very creative fanfiction concept! I'm getting inspired here to do something like this now. This gets us right to the plot because we don't need to visualize the characters' reactions and the scenes around them---a picture says a thousand words as they say Looking forward to more!

I love expressions of the characters in your art You captured the emotion on Padme's face so well on that last panel. Also Anakin picking up on something in Luke....interesting to see where this leads!

Getting a huge Homer Simpson strangling Bart vibe in that last panel with Anakin/Luke I love the diversity of non-humans you're using here!

 

^ lol I'm sure Anakin was saying "Why you little—!" out of Padmé's earshot in that last panel.

Yeah, drawing-wise the bg and non-human characters are a nice break and variation from the main characters. Glad you like it.

I just love this story--it really lives up to its title! These last panels with Luke and Padme are filled with great emotion and uncertainity and I'm not sure why but I'm totally imagining this as an animated series

 

The senator from the beginning has the same last name as my primary OC. And he is about as whiny as her, LOL.

This story is tremendous and I am not talking only about impressive art It's also that you are going by something George Lucas himself has said about the PT and I find it fascinating. The society prior to the Empire taking over and the Galactic Civil War was so sophisticated, so classy. The Rebels we meet in the OT all live like plain bums. And the moment when Luke is assessed as a servant boy really hits the nerve.

This was my immediate reaction to that image and then I scrolled down and saw your comment, LMAO.

The truth is sometimes hard to take...right, Luke?

 

OK this was seriously amazing. I teared up a little at the "Stayed" panel. You have great sense character and blocking, like, damn that double panel of Anakin saying nothing and letting Luke run away? Amazing! And Luke gets to know both of his parents in the end, and to have talked to both? *sigh* it's perfect.
I can't help but wonder about the changes if you continued this AU. How would Luke react faced with Vader. How would Anakin react realising R2D2 wasn't crosswired, and that the young man from the gala was really a time travelling son?
This was very sweet, great work!!

To be honest, Luke's reaction here is pretty normal. Kids being embarrassed to see their parents kissing is not unusual.
