    I’ve met so many JCers in person now that if I made a list, I’m afraid I’d leave someone out. Plus I think I can only tag ten people in a post and there are more than ten of you. Anyway, love y’all and I can’t wait to see you in Anaheim next year.

    I’ve learned about a lot of new beers.

    I learned how to pronounce “cosplay” at the 2017 Celebration.

    I’ve moved away from my Gen X Cold War fearmongering upbringing thanks to the communists here.

    I’ve gotten introduced to a lot of new podcasts which have become favorites like Best of the Left and Democracy Now.

    I remember you too Watto! However, I never got banned so there must have been someone else with a similar name. One of my last posts there got a lot of hate because I spoiled myself on the ending of a marvel SW comic in the store and didn't buy it. Didn't bother pointing out I got 3 or 4 other comics and shopped there regularly. Not worth arguing.

    If you didn't get banned, I was probably the fall guy.

    Yeah there was a lot of arguing about insignificant stuff in Lit. Maybe there still is? I have no idea, I haven't been there in over ten years. I stopped going when I stopped reading the books, which was when Karin Traviss was the #1 author.

    I used to post in Lit. Then I also stopped reading the books. I believe I lurked here for quite a while. I tried to figure out if I could take it was someone inevitably didn't agree with one of my posts. I like that people here are honest and stand up for what they believe in. I'm also hyper sensitive. Coming here helps me work on my sensitivity.

    I have learned a lot of things from this place:

    - how sleeping on the floor is the most honorable
    - why we should respect and appreciate the romanovs
    - how to download new video cards
    - the proper use of paper cups
    - the value of imdb credits
    - not to use derogatory terms like fanboy
    - that lending $14k to a roomie can never backfire

    And so much more.

    This is just the board at large, but as much as I absolutely suck at writing and typing due to my dyslexia. It used to be so much worse. And I contribute this board more than anything else towards my writing skills sucking just a bit less.

    I spend, and have spent, way more money than my wages really allow to go to the US to meet up with a bunch of you at Celebrations. To be honest I don't care that much about the conventions anymore, I'm there to meet you all.

    Also coming to the boards as a shy teenager, this was the place where I first realised that there were people out there that would listen to me and that there are more nerds than I could ever imagine. I definitely gained a lot of confidence by posting here.
