Policy Username Change Request Thread v2.0

Welcome to the new username change request thread!

As the way the previous thread worked was obviously not working for anyone, users and admins, we've decided to start it over, this time with a new policy and increased staff presence.

Please carefully read the policy before making a request.

Procedure:

1. Name changes are a courtesy from the administration. They are not your right.
2. You may only request a username by posting the request in the policy thread in Comms (this thread).
3. You don't need to include a full explanation as to why you want your username changed. This is a change from our previous procedure.
4. You get one single username change throughout your life as a Jedi Council user. That's it. Exceptions will only be granted in very special cases, usually involving safety reasons. If you think such an exception applies to you, do not post here: PM the Head Admin with your reasoning.
5. Even though we'll try to be forthcoming, MS reserves the right to disallow any name change request for any reason and with no explanation given.
6. Do not spam this thread asking about the status of your name change. Again: this is a courtesy. We'll eventually get to you.

Username Change Criteria:

• Username must be available. Please make sure this is the case through the use of the search function.
• Username must meet criteria of the established username policy - no disallowed words, trollish names, etc.
• Username must not be an obvious parody or variation of another user (i.e. AnnikanFan1138 cannot change his username to "Grand Admiral J-Lo" or "J0in7he$chw@rz")

 

So... nobody yet? As long as it meets the criteria spelled out above, please post requests here. A few of us mods have volunteered to help out with this process.

You've actually had two username changes already in the past... please refer to the list in the top of this thread, for this part:

Man it feels weird seeing a name actually changed

 

We had a chat about how to go forward with these in our mod forum .

 

I am still debating if I want my name changed to Darth Hekate or just stay Nehru_Amidala. Everyone outside the Sith thread calls me Nehru.

 

Well let us know when you decide… it looks like you haven’t had a name change before.

 

Sure haven’t. I’ve been known as Nehru since I first joined.

I noticed in the previous name change thread that you all requested name changes, and you all still seem to be active here. It looks like you're all entitled to a change, so please let us know here if you'd still like one.
