My favourite High Republic book title so far. I get the feeling it might have multiple meanings.

Has there been some indication that Claudia's working on other Star Wars projects?

If you're UK-based, SpeedyHen often offer these for around £14.76 but their preorder only goes active a month or two ahead of release.

Thank you for that rather helpful bit of advice @Jedi Ben really appreciated, since I do actually live in the UK.

Suspected you were but wasn't 100% certain.

The other good non-Amazon places are Wordery and BooksEtc.

BooksEtc don't do preorders but their prices can be insanely good. Wordery appear to have been hard hit by the pandemic, but will sometimes run extra 10% off promotions.

Thanks, will give them all a go now instead of Amazon, really appreciate it mate. Though I don't wish to derail this thread any further, I do wonder what part of the UK you're from??

Hopefully the title doesn’t refer to Avar Kriss, but that’s my first thought. It could also refer to the Chancellor. Or the Republic or Jedi as a whole.

The equivalence to Lost Stars is kinda cute.

Really? it could literally be just a book about a boiling ball of plasma in space that trips over and falls down the stairs

Could be too. But I was meaning more it could be someone's star falling, as in they aren't famous/successful any more. Or it could be about the fall of Starlight beacon.

I prefer if Starlight survives to phase 3. But it can still be attacked/damaged earlier.

Given that a boiling ball of plasma in space has no hands with which to hold the railing, falling down the stairs is basically a given. Safety matters; next time it just wait a couple more minutes for the elevator. Obviously pressing the buttons is an issue, but let's solve one problem at a time.

Can't wait for another book in the High Republic era by Claudia Gray. Combines two of my favorite things about the New Canon: 1) the High Republic era, and 2) Claudia Gray writing Star Wars books.

Just pre-ordered on Amazon. This news makes my day.

    So excited for this book![face_party]

I somehow missed that she didn't put anything out for Wave 2, good point. So far Cavan seems to be cutting things back in this Wave, and fair enough too.

I mean, I'm worried about this, Avar fan that I am -- Avar and the Beacon being almost synonymous. And with what's just happened to
    my other favorite Loden Greatstorm
I'm a bit edgy that my faves and the reputed "best of the best" might have been set up to fall and raise the stakes here. And fair play narratively, it could be that the many padawans and young knights of the era are meant to come into their own as the old guard fades. I'm braced for anything, really.

I may be totally off base here, but I have a feeling that, when it comes to the "best of the best," a certain someone might come out of this era unscathed. :yoda:
