Halloween 3: Season of the Witch and Trick 'r Treat is my standard Halloween night double feature.

 

The Thing.
Alien. Not Aliens, which is really more of an action movie.
The original House on Haunted Hill.
The classic Universal monster movies.
Garfield Halloween Special. (Not joking)

 

The Mummy, or maybe Van Helsing.

 

The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. (The less that’s said about those two recent animated movies, the better.)

 

I watch and read horror on a daily basis throughout October and November, but in terms of annual traditions:

-The first eight Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror episodes from the Golden Age (My favorite vignette being "Clown Without Pity," which has a uproarious gag/line every ten or so seconds)
-Bob's Burgers Halloween episodes
-Disney's Sleepy Hollow adaptation from the 40s
-The Bride of Frankenstein, the crown jewel of Universal Horror
-At least two Vincent Price movies

Reading favorite stories on Halloween isn't something I've done before - I'll try it this year (probably stretch it over the weekend). Proposed list:
The Colour Out of Space by HP Lovecraft
Our Lady of Darkness by Fritz Lieber
The House on the Borderlands by William Hope Hodgson
Ghostland by Colin Dickey. The last book is actually nonfiction - examining the relationship between ghost stories and people in America. It's... melancholy, to say the least.

 

Edit- At one of my two jobs I take a portable DVD player for breaks. Allows me to get through these efficiently.

Starting in late Sept, in no particular order:
-Most of the Friday The 13th series. Usually skip 7 and 8
-Most of the Nightmare On Elm St. series. Skip Freddy's Dead. Freddy Vs Jason is great imo because it works as a sequel to both series.
-Classic Universal Monsters. Story order when I get to the crossovers. (I find it odd that some like Son Of Dracula and the Mummy movies don't seem to be directly a part of the shared universe. However the Mummy series itself is two separate storylines so who knows)
-Halloween series
-Ginger Snaps 1 and 2.
-Nightmare Before Christmas
-White Zombie

On Halloween day:
-It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
-Night Of The Living Dead. First time seeing this was on Halloween when I was 12.
-Halloween (1978) if I didn't have time in the lead up.
-Aqua Teen Hunger Force Halloween ep "The Shaving"

 

For the Universal movies - only the Wolfman, Dracula and Frankenstein movies are 'shared'. (Except "Son of Dracula", as you mentioned)
And yeah, all the Mummy movies except the first are linked - but the best one is first by far.
Most of the Invisible Man movies are linked, except the Invisible Woman, but avoid the Invisible Agent at all costs.

 

The original Mummy is among my all time favs. One of the few movies where the villain's plan is sad and understandable. He just wants to kill a lady so his girlfriends soul can come out. Is that so bad?? Sarcasm obviously but he does say a few times "no man has suffered the way I have for love" or something to that effect.
