    Just got all the candy I need for Halloween
    Hope the trick or treaters like Kit Kat or peanut butter cups. Those were all that were left at the store

    We hand out Sour Patch Zombies. Hoping the weather clears out before Sunday. We usually get over 300 trick or treaters but Covid dropped us to about 60 last year. I want to see a rebound and the current rainfall would make that impossible.

    NPR’s Throughline podcast had an interesting episode this week on the history of Halloween. I did not know that it evolved into a holiday for adults just in the 70s with the Elvira skunky beer commercials and Halloween the movie.

    Well...that's New England for ya. It's been pouring all week. Cold and gray. Today was the first day of sunshine, it's in the 60s, and all weather reports looked good.

    And just as 3:30pm hit, and everyone is getting ready to trick or treat, the heavens just opened up and it's pouring again.

    Good grief Charlie Brown.
