Saga Is there ever any mention of an all powerful God in Star Wars?

She never said that. Might be time to break out the Prequels!

Maybe I misheard. After 20 years on airplanes my ears aren't what they used to be. And the first time I saw RotS I had just flown a long mission.

 

Thank the maker comes to mind. Although I guess he is talking about Anakin.

 

It isn’t in the script, so I suspect it came from the comic writer.

If you have watched the movies at all, you would soon have found out that the highest power in the SW universe is "the FORCE", so no all-powerful "god" there. Besides, it would also depend on the species. The Ewoks for example may worship some sort of deity (or maybe only gold protocol droids? ), others may have their own religions. The standard highest power, at least for the majority, however is still the Force.

In TPM, Padmé does say, "I pray you will bring compassion and sanity back to the Senate."

But it has more of a generic feel to it, like a sincere hope - rather than in relation to communicating with a specific deity.

Also, I think it’s worth noting that Anakin didn’t build Threepio. He rebuilt him, although I doubt he had any memory of his time before Anakin. But he does tell him, “You are my Maker and I wish you well”, so I think it’s safe to say Anakin is his Maker from his point of view, at least until his memory is wiped, although I get the impression that he sees him as something sort of in between a parent and a deity.

 

The force is that a powerful god in a way because its sentient/entity

 

Maybe in EU, but I have not come across it. The Force is everything from what I know about Star Wars.

 

IIRC, somebody mentioned praying in the Obi-Wan TV show.

its not god in a way but an entity which is the force
